What a superb book. Didn't expect much for a small price with only a limited number of patterns but I was wrong.Debbie Shore explains the process so well it was a joy to try a new project not a stress. She shows you how to tweak patterns to individualise the bags so you can make them repeatedly but that they aren't the same. I have made 1 bag so far and currently fabric hunting for my second. I've watched some of her YouTube tutorials which is what prompted me to get the book. A perfect beginners level book to make bags that don't look like they were made by a beginner! The picture is of my drawstring backpack made from the book (front and back w zip pocket-it actually resembles the one in the book!!) - I've only had a sewing machine a year so am pretty pleased that with this book I can produce bags like this!

I love this book. I have already made the beach bag and the tote bag. Very clear easy to follow instructions. Good clear pictures. Great tips on what materials to use for best results and tips on how to customise your bags to make them unique. I am surprised how professional my bags look, they would make great gifts or lovely items to sell at craft fairs.

Wow, fabulous book with clear instructions for making all kinds of bags. I have made nearly all of them and now am designing my own bags using the tips in the book. I use recycled materials, old jeans, a skirt, a mans shirt or anything that is heading for the bin. Debbie has helped me customise all kinds of materials into bags for any occasion.

I absolutely love this book, instructions and patterns are very easy to follow with very useful tips. I have been complimented on the two bags I have made (photo of flowered one inserted) and I look forward to making more when I can find material that inspires me.
