What we needed

This was a huge hit in my home. With 3 adults who are all tech junkies USB ports are all ways in need. For some reason we can never keep up with the adapters the the USB cord. Using the power strip was very easy and self explanatory. It has an indicator that lets you know the the power outlet strip is on and working. The outlet strip has 6 USB ports for your phone, tablets, etc and 6 standard AC outlets. I loved the length of the cord. It's long enough for me to plug up my printer and still have enough length to move the outlet closer to my bed and plug up all my electronics. Normally at night I likely to have 2 cell phones, 1 tablet and my ear phones all plugged up at once. Now with the AC outlets, I don't love it but don't hate it. When I plugged in my lamp and fan cord I didn't experience any problems. But when it came to trying to plug in my laptop and vacuum cleaner cord I was VERY hesitant. After seeing the type of strength I would have to use to plug in the ac cords I first unplugged the outlet. Both Ac adapters did go in but I had to put some major strength in plugging and unplugging the cord. It's not a huge problem for me but I would like to be able to use the outlet for my laptop because of the surge protector. This is my first time having a surge protector that accommodates direct charging from a USB cable, as well as the typical three pronged plugs. I've swapped this one out with my standard power strip and it has made a tremendous difference both in terms of organization and with the amount of devices I can plug into that outlet.What I typically have plugged into it: a portable space heater, a desk lamp, a wall lamp, but rechargeable USB flashlights, two different tablets and two iPhones. The fact that the strip doesn't appear overburdened and messy makes me happy. Sometimes it's the little things in life, I guess.I also like that the cord is a generous length (about 63" long), which gives a good amount of leeway and freedom when it comes to the distance between the wall socket and the preferred surface to place the strip. I also don't mind having this strip visible on my table because, in my opinion, it has a nicer aesthetic than standard power strips.I received a discount on this power strip in order to provide my objective review of it and can recommend to anyone who is in search of a nicely designed, and well made power strip, that functions well at being able to power, and charge, both newer technologies as well as household items with standard plugs.

I've wanted one of these for a while, and I'm super glad to have one now. I am a techie. I have so many things that connect via USB and I'm constantly losing my little converters. I have phones, tablets, usb diffusers, bluetooth devices that charge via usb, etc. It is incredibly convenient to be able to just plug them in, no converter necessary, on the same strip as my computer, lamp, and other living room stuff. It's one of those little conveniences that you don't really notice when you don't have it, but once you do you wonder why you went so long without it, you know?As far as the strip itself it has a very sturdy feel to it, doesn't feel cheaply made at all. It allows 6 traditional plugs and 6 usb plugs, which for me at least is more than enough room. The switch is firm enough that it won't accidentally flip on or off at a slight accidental touch and the cord is long enough for all of my needs. I'm super glad to have this.
