ace high Unscented Hair Clay, Strong Hold, Satin to Matte Finish, Adds Texture and Thickness, 4oz

It took me a while to figure out if I should write a review because I couldn't believe that this product has come into existence . All I can say is that this product is complete and total genius and that I don't believe there is any comparison on the market. It truly does not have a smell which is one of its greatest features and I might have been sold on that feature alone. It's ingredient list is short, chock full of natural stuff and I have to say that the beeswax/bentonite clay mix is magic. Though it doesn't advertise as such, this is the most effective anti-humectant I have ever used. I am a curly girl 3B thin hair and this product serves as an excellent texturizer to bulk up thin hair and to keep it in place without flaking. It may take some experimentation with what amount to use and how to use in conjunction with other products, but this is totally a keeper. For women using the LOC method or just looking to seal in products or moisturizing ingredients- this is the only thing you need full stop. I know a lot of curlies are constantly putting in moisturizing products with glycerine and other humectant ingredients, but trust me, sealing out moisture and keeping what you've applied will hold your style longer. This is more of a conversation to have on a CG site, but anti-humectants are where its at, especially in summer when humidity wants to take over your head. I have been looking for a product like this (unscented, clean ingredients, solid hold, bulking agent, anti-humectant) for a long time and I'm so glad I took the jump and made the purchase. I know the price is high on this one, but it's a winner. It does what it says. If it's not working for you the first time around, adjust the quantity or mix it into your current styling product or leave-in conditioner and watch the magic happen.

I'm relatively new to hair "product". I either kept my hair real long or real short and didn't use any product. But since keeping it a sort of medium length and getting older (72) my hair wants to fly all around. I've tried quite a few different brands and types but finally found Ace High. The unscented clay strong hold works perfect for me. I mostly need unscented because my wife is highly allergic to perfumes and any strong scented products. So I highly recommend Ace High and I would imagine any of their products work quite well. PLUS, and a big plus for my wife and I they are cruelty-free. No testing on animals. Kudos to them for getting it all right!

I'm a woman who recently cut my hair short. I don't want to smell like axe and I live with people very sensitive to artificial fragrances, so scent was really important to me. This stuff is actually unscented, doesn't leave white streaks, holds well, and washes out pretty easily.

I have thick strands and a whole lot of them! Hair style is short and layered. This is the first hair styling product that I’ve found that works. A pea sized bit either massaged into damp hair or mixed with a little water in my palm- It gives lift and definition all day. I do feel like it needs to be washed out nightly but if left in, it’s still working on day two. You can run your fingers through your hair, you’ll feel the product but it’s not like some of the ‘spike gels’ that harden and stiffen. It flexes! Fabulous product! Don’t think that I’ll have to shop for something else ever again.

This stuff works really well. Key thing I have discovered is having your hair at the right amount of wet. If its too dry it is def harder to work thru and style. I use salt spray to help adjust after drying hair from the shower. It holds all day and does allow for some play if needed.

I love the matte finish, good hold, and the fact it’s unscented. However, like a couple other reviewers, I’ve had both jars of this clay grow MOLD within a couple weeks of opening. Given the price, I expected to have some sort of quality control on the formulation and manufacture—but this product seems to lack the preservatives that are found in most commercially available products.

Bought this for my husband who has very sensitive skin, he can not tolerate perfumed or many of the chemicals in hair products. He absolutely love this product, It easy to apply, looks natural holds well, no skin reaction. Fantastic product.
