The drawings are great for coloring.The included CD of "relaxing music" by composer Roland Hanneman is not relaxing or calming at all. After ripping the CD to our music library, we deleted all 10 of the 10 songs because they were minor key, menacing, scary, or weirdly strange and unrelaxing. We were really startled to find that this CD of supposedly relaxing songs begins with a track 1 whose music screams anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. Those who have ever felt demonic oppression expressed in music know exactly what I mean. It's the same vibe of eternal despair as that embedded in Yanni's song "Summer Days". But Yanni's songs have much better production value than the songs on this CD.Only 3 of the songs were not menacing or oppressive or weird. And these 3 we didn't keep because the synth voices utilized sound like they are two decades old, which makes the resulting instrumental mix sound like a cheesy kid's cartoon soundtrack.The songs on the CD are not reminiscent of Biblical themes. It is not possible to picture a Biblical story or theme that matches any of this music.The songs in general were not contemplative or reminiscent of God's nature as described in scripture - the God who loved the world so much that he sent his Son to be our savior and healer. If you want to do some calming coloring, you would be better suited to find a good instrumental track from Google Play or your favorite streaming service, and color away.I think I'm going to go color now to get rid of the anxiety caused by listening to the CD.

I love adult coloring and had made a huge difference in how I feel. When I am coloring I usually listen to light music which after a long day is great to have that calming time before bed. I am always up to trying different coloring books and wanted to give this one a try because I have seen this brand but different themes on Amazon and at Walmart. All the pictures in this book are beautifully created and most are a great talking point for new learners of the bible like my children are. There are also ones that look like stain glass and is great when using colored pencils to get that look as if you walk into a church. The paper is smooth which is great for soft lead colored pencils. The paper is not as thick as I have seen with others I have not tried markers yet but I will be trying that next. Gel pens work great on the pages. I love that there is a flap you put between the pages. I can't count how many times I have to rip apart my books because I don't want pressure marks on the next page. With this book there is no issues with that. I also love that this book has it set up so the pages can easily be taken out and still have a beautiful edge. The thin layer of rubber/glue at the top is like most pull out notebooks. I hate when I have to trim the top before putting in a frame. This book gives all your coloring a very professional look and can't wait to try all the rest of them! I am extremely happy with my overall experience and well worth for anyone that does adult coloring to check all of this line of books. More and more adults are looking back to our childhood pastime, coloring! When we were kids we'd color to pass time, get our minds off of boredom or anything else that may have been going on. Well, now as adults, coloring is a form of therapeutic activity even used in mental health as a form of expression and coping. My oldest child has spent several weeks in a behavioral and mental health facility and she loves art! Art has been used as a form of her care and therapy so I chose this book as an opportunity to give her something to enjoy in her free time there.The pages of this coloring book are so amazing you can color them and frame them for room decor or just leave them in black and white and do so! This particular coloring book allows you to walk with Christ while in the dark world we live in, unleashing our woes and worries upon him and the paper expressing our hearts through art and color! The pages with literary phrases are for coloring but they also encouraged her, they also encouraged me! I kept a few pages for myself because I also like to color for therapeutic reasons and merely enjoying it as a pastime.I recommend this book! Even for Sunday schools, vacation bible school, children's churches and youth groups!! This coloring book took coloring 1 step up. First off I went with the biblical images coloring book, although there is a great selection of books to choose from. I really enjoy coloring because I find it calming and peaceful and that is where the bonus part of this coloring book comes in. It comes with a cd! The cd features 10 tracks totaling approx 56 mins of soft calming, instrumental, piano, nature type music that you can listen to while you are coloring to help relieve stress and stay calm. The music is lovely and is very soothing.The book is square 8x8, opening on the top and bottom. There is 48 beautiful pages from crosses, words, stain glass images etc. and also has a variety of easy and hard to color pages. All images are single sided and tear off top easily. I said TOP! This is a great coloring book for left handed people like myself! It also has a cardboard flap that you can put under your page as you color to prevent color bleed through if you happen to be using markers or pens. The paper is not flimsy or cheap its a beautiful bright white and printed well. I plan on coloring some and framing them to hang around the house.
