Luna and the Lie

Je ne sais pas par où commencer. Quel livre. Quel bonheur. Tout est parfait. J’aimerais juste tellement que l’épilogue fasse 100 pages 😜. Mais quel slow burn passionant. Profond. Magnifique. Superbe.Ce livre est une prouesse. J’ai adoré!!!!!!

5/5⭐️Could this book be anymore perfect?! It had me feeling all kinds of things from happiness, laughter, sadness, hotness and so much more. How can you not like the grumpy sunshine trope!? This one is so so good. This just like every other MZ book is a major slow burn but the best kind. There’s also NIGHTMARE trope!! Who doesn’t love a good nightmare/one bed trope. Last but not least, there’s a swoon worthy grovelling moment. Rip is a grumpy and badass looking guy with a heart of gold, he is a sweetheart.Luna surprisingly has had a really rough past. She acts like all is well and that she’s a very happy person but deep down she is super lonely and seeking love and comfort. Here’s where grumpy Rip comes in. He’s as grumpy and closed off as you can get and I LOVE HIM. Of course he ends up getting a sweet spot for Luna and it’s the cutest thing ever. I absolutely love how they are opposites and find comfort in one another. It’s so cute seeing their interactions and Rip trying to stay all grumpy with her but he secretly loves the teasing. I loved this book just like every other book by MZ. Definitely recommend.

This is the book I read when I’m in a book slump or just looking for a comfort read. I’ve read it so many times and it still makes me cry each time 😅. I also love the Wall of Winnipeg and me and a heap of other Mariana Zapata books but Luna and the Lie is my all time fave. It is a slow burn so if you’re looking for a spicy read, this is not the book for you. If you’re looking for a great plot with some excellent angst and grovelling thrown in, this is the one!
