Dorman 722-029 Rear Rearward Leaf Spring Shackle For Select Chevrolet/gmc Models

I noticed I had a right broken spring shackle on my Silverado, and figured I better replace the left side as well. I ordered 2 and attempted to remove the old busted up ones from the truck. Holy @#$%! What a PITA to remove the old ones. Just a heads up, the leaf spring bushing is usually seized solid to the bolts, the only way to get a new GM one is to order the entire leaf spring assembly. The aftermarket bushing is made by Dayton and the part number is RB-172 which fits the rear eye of the leaf spring. I applied anti-seize to the shaft of the spring shackle bolts, hopefully I will never have to go through that process again😌 The spring shackle is far superior to the factory one. I'm happy.

Ordered two, came in same box in one day from ordering with two day shipping which was nice. But the two aren't exactly the same, they have some of the same part number but the bolts are different, the shape is slightly different, one looks cheap and the other looks of good quality, would be nice to have two of better quality. The one that is in the picture in this ad is the cheaper looking one of the two.
