Great and creative map! Perfect for travelers and every global citizen.
The scratch-off map is a great product, with such a clever design. The black and gold add to map aesthetics and the scratch-off is such a genius idea. It's great for all travelers and for anyone interested in different countries. A world map is something everyone should have and this product is a fun addition to every household! Also makes for a perfect gift for just about anyone. Highly recommend!

The map is not perfect. A lot of scratches. Can you replace a new map for me?

Great Wall hanging!
I got this to hang on the wall in my living room, and it never fails to start a conversation with a friend or a guest about different countries that I have been two or even about going on a trip together! Love that you can also scratch off the flags as it makes it easier to count how many countries you have been to if you’re that type of person.

Get this one, not the $56 one from Travelization
After hearing from many reviewers that it was extremely difficult to scratch off the material properly, I decided to drop the extra $20 bucks to get the scratch-off map from Travelization since it had better reviews. I was just about to purchase said map when I noticed the shamefully poor fidelity of the states and provinces within the larger countries. While the international borders seemed very accurate, the outlines of states appeared to be sloppily hand-drawn, and some of the smaller US states were nearly unrecognizable. As a huge geography nerd, this was unacceptable.Thankful that I noticed this detail before purchasing, I took a risk on this map from Landmass despite the negative reviews, and It did not disappoint! It came in perfect condition, and the wooden magnetic frames are also very nice and make the map easy to display. As it comes rolled, you will need to put some heavy books on the ends to get it to lay flat while you attach the frame. Most importantly, both international and state/province borders are accurate, clean, and up to date. (though unlike Travelization it only includes states/provinces for U.S., Canada, and Australia). Even Rhode Island and Delaware are somewhat legible, which is honestly kind of impressive at this scale. Another plus is that it has the capitals and largest cities of most of the U.S. states where they fit.To everyone who complained about the lack of a proper scratching utensil: If you haven't thrown it away yet, check the underside of the white plastic caps that go into either end of the cardboard tube the map is shipped in. I'm not sure why they thought they needed to hide it there, but mine came with a little guitar pick taped to one of these caps. By using this guitar pick (gently), I had no problems whatsoever in scratching off the material. The only reason this map gets 4 stars is because the colors of the countries and states/provinces are totally arbitrary as far as I can see and many of them are too close together in color for good composition. There were even some adjacent states that were the exact same shade of red.Another thing that is not really a problem but is kind of weird is that the flag section of the map includes several countries not typically recognized internationally as independent states. The strangest thing about this is that the only one of these that is labeled on the map is Somaliland. I just wish there was some consistency here or at least some clarity as to what counts as a country. It may honestly be that they added them so that the flags would fit in a nice even grid.Overall, this is by far the best scratch-off map I have found. Not only will it save you money, it will also save you the horror you experience when you find out that you paid $56 dollars for a map that looks like they had a toddler draw in your home state from memory. Get this map from Landmass! (unless you find a better one - then let me know:)
