Really a neat book to leave something for your children.

I received this as a gift from a friend to do WITH my mother. I flew to see her after over a year of not being able to due to the pandemic. We were ecstatic to be reunited after having nothing but FaceTimes and phone calls and texts.I gave her this when I arrived, and every morning as we had coffee, I'd read her the prompts and write down her answers. I left it with her when it was time to fly back home and now she does them every morning and sends them to me. And I know I'll have this journal when she's gone and will be able to remember my mom's story and help it live on.Truly special.

The book was purchased for my 86 year old mother. Some of the questions are more directed toward a younger generation maybe in the 50-60 age group, as there was no Shopping Malls when my mother grew up, etc. But, this also can be as you interpret it. I did purchase another book at the same time as this one and did not like that one...it went into How did you party as a kid? Hangouts? Not really appropriate. This "My Mother's Life: Mom, I want . . . " is a good book for getting to know your mother. I would buy this particular book again.

There other books that have more questions and laid out better in my opinion. This has so many questions that can’t be answered and it leaves the entire page blank to fill in instead of several questions on each page. It’s good but the other viral ones are better. There a purple “Mom I wanna hear your story” that I recommend over this one.

This was a great assets for my family so they will know about us when we pass away. Every one should have these for their kids.

I bought one for my mom, stepmom and mother-in-law... they loved it. But understand that you should get them supplemental gifts as well, as this one will be returned to you one day. I got it so I can have stories and history to pass on to my kids. I don't know a lot about my mothers' histories, so I can't want to read the as well.BTW, they have ones for Dads too!
