OXO Good Grips Solid Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop

I needed an ice cream scoop, seemingly a mundane thing. Surprisingly, there's an entire sea of choices and price ranges for something someone would consider such a basic household staple.I landed in this OXO scoop based on reviews from other websites. I have other OXO kitchen utensils and cookware, I like the brand. So I was pleased to see this was one of the more highly rated.I got the one that is just a scoop, not the one with the thumb press lever.It's just a nice, simple ice cream scoop, that is the perfect size. I didn't want something too short, and I wanted one with a good grip. Bonus that it's dishwasher safe, even though I hand wash it. Some reviews mentioned it being heavy, for me, it's the perfect weight.In my opinion, this is another OXO kitchen win.

My family loves this ice cream scoop. We also have the spade version. The handle is comfortable to use, and the scooping part is stainless steel with no shiny coating to flake off over time. This is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, and the price is very reasonable.

Sturdy. Seems like a quality stainless with heavy enough gauge - no rough spots or flaking yet. I tried many different ones stainless, plastic, spring scoop, etc. but this traditional looking one just works best and easiest to scoop with a nice weight and well designed soft handle that fits my hand.

Yet another good OXO product. It’s a nice size and very solid, definitely worth the money.

It scoops ice cream. Our old scooper kind of had a scooper that rattled / flexed inside the handle. Not this thing. Its a solid beast of a scooper. Very comfortable to use.

This is a really good ice cream scooper it’s definitely a little heavy in the handle. We’ve been using it all the time and putting it in the dishwasher and it has not tarnished. It feels very comfortable in your hand and it was definitely a great value for the money that we spent on it. I would definitely buy it again.

We finally decided to replace our Zeroll scoop after a quarter decade of use. And this is what I decided on. The Zeroll does not fare well when occasionally tossed into the dishwasher, so hoping this one will. Easy to use, tactile silicone grip, curved edge & cup performs a nice roll across ending with a generous size scoop, weighted for heft.
