Wegener truly was the first horror icon.
The book is a gem. It's well researched and extremely well written. Even old timers such as I have found a wealth of new information in this book.Wegener truly was the first horror icon. So glad there is a book out about him now. He deserves it.PS: Buy the book and find out where to see an amazing clip from one of Wegener's best and least known horror films.

A STAR'S DELVE INTO DARKNESS..
This book is a well researched tome that delves not only into the actor's life, along with a filmography, but concentrate's on those dark themed aspect's of his horror, telefantasy films. It's a bit dry in place's , and this is lifted by some humorous commentary, which some time's misses due to that weird yank taste in funny anecdote's. However it can't be denied that the writer's really try to entertain us , and the effort put in can't is obvious and commendable.Recommended, but need's to be digested in several steady stage's to gain the most from it.I highly suggest that reader's try their book on a filmic biography for Conrad Veidt, which is much richer, and enjoyable, with a lot more illustration's simply due to the vaster availability of his film's.
