bonsaii Bonsaii 12-Sheet Cross-Cut Paper, CD/DVD, and Credit Card Shredder with 3.5-gallons Pullout Basket, Black (C220-A)

We bought this shredder to replace a smaller one of a different make which was always overheating. This shredder is so much better we can put so much more through without any strain or overheating. We have put it through the tests when sadly a family member recently died and we had lots of shredding to do when clearing the house. It has not let us down it is a brilliant shredder, wish we had one years ago. We particularly like the crisscross action which gives more security protection.

Very happy to have received my shredder in a sealed taped box. Once opening found it easy to put together and love it on wheels makes it so much easy to move around no having to pick up and carry. It is mainly going to be used for shredding of daily household accounts being a cross cutter makes it worthwhile using against fraudsters . Well recommended.

I bought the shredder last May - due to having loads of shredding & wanting something efficient & sturdy. The Bonsaii 12 sheet worked perfectly & fulfilled its promise in all respects. Had nearly completed shredding my late Mum’s paperwork when disaster struck! Machine jammed & I couldn’t sort it. E-mailed the company & they gave me concise instructions on how to unjam it. As this didn’t work, my son took it to bits & found a cog had broken. I e-mailed the company again & I have to say their customer services are beyond reproach. After sending them a video of the offending part, they have despatched a replacement which I am eagerly awaiting. I would definitely recommend this company & their products - their customer service is polite, kind & second to none. Thank you.

Only had this shredder for a few weeks but as soon as it arrived (on time) it was put to work. I shredded nonstop for 2 hours without any problems. It didn’t overheat and behaved as expected. Future use will not be on this scale but it does appear to be robust, doesn’t take up a lot of space and the wheels are very handy if you need to move it to another location. With security in mind I’m more than happy to recommend.

Compacted paper builds up under the cutter heads causing it to slow down and stop even if only one or two sheets are shredded at a time.This is the second cross cut shredder which I have tried that had the same problem - the other was an 8 sheet Fellowes. At least the Bonsai managed to fill two bins before clogging which the Fellowes didn’t manage - that ground to a halt before even filling the bin once.It takes longer to remove the compacted paper than it does to shred it in the first place so this shredder is not practical. It is also very messy because as the bin is pulled out to empty it, the top edge knocks down some of the compacted shredded paper from under the cutter heads which goes everywhere.
