The shredder came very well packaged and arrived very quickly after ordering. Unpacking and putting it together was simplicity itself. The "manual" consisted of an A4 sheet folded into a 4-page booklet. But, to be fair, great reams of instructions are not needed. I had a bit of a pile of papers that needed shredding stored over a week or so before I got round to buying this machine. What influenced my purchase was the reviews, and they are correct. However, the manufacturer claims that the machine will cope with up to 12 sheets at a time, and this I very much doubt. I did put 4 sheets at a time through and the motor worked hard, indeed struggled, to cope, and I have no doubt that in no way would it cope with 12 sheets. That said, I got rid of my pile of shredding quickly by feeding 2 or 3 sheets at a time. The machine has a separate slot for chewing up CDs/DVDs and credit cards. I have not used that facility as yet, but given the motor's struggle with 4 sheets of A4, I have grave doubts that it would cope with a CD/DVD, but a credit card should give it no trouble at all. All in all, I am pleased with the machine and glad I bought it, although in an office environment, even a small one, I would have opted for a more powerful, and thus more expensive, machine. But for home use, it is perfect. I also bought a bottle of lubricating oil for the blades and highly recommend that you do so too.

Got my shredder a few days ago and have to say I'm quite impressed. It will go through the advertised 12 sheets without too much complaint, and does cardboard reasonably well too. It's perfectly fine for the everyday demands of a home office or small business. If you have a lot of shredding to do, you might be better off getting something a bit more durable - this will do one binful of continuous-feed shredding before the overheat protection kicks in and it needs a rest for an hour. I was a bit behind on my shredding so I found this out the hard way! Still, at least it HAS overheat protection - inferior models would just keep on going until they burned out, so this is a positive as far as I'm concerned.The CD and credit card shredder is a slight disappointment. It only seems to have two blades and no crosscut, so a credit card is only chopped into three pieces. With modern chip-and-pin cards, this is insufficient; there's a good chance the chip won't be destroyed as it might not pass through the blade, hence only four stars on this product.

This machine is quite quiet to use and we bought it as it promised up to 12 sheets with impressive stamina However it does not have an indicator to tell you when the bin is full. The cogs got paper wrapped around the metal cogs and we were unable to unjam it without taking off the cover which invalidated the warranty. We removed the paper that was caught around the cogs but it still does not shred. I would expect a shredder to last longer than 5 months with light use. If you have one then make sure you keep checking the bin and consider an alternative brand if you are looking for one.

We purchased the above shredder via Amazon from Morning Joy UK in November 2018. Initially very pleased with item, but it failed to work a few months later, after very light use. We contacted Morning Joy UK who were very helpful and dealt with our complaint speedily and efficiently. After following their suggested checks on the machine to try and locate the fault, which proved unsuccessful, Morning Joy UK immediately replaced the faulty shredder with a new one.The customer service from Morning Joy UK was first class and we would highly recommend this company.Pete & Jill McCloud08/03/2019

Not impressed at all with this shredder. It came late after I specifically ordered as a PRIME delivery next day, it took 3 days. It jammed when shredding anything more than 5 sheets of normal A4 paper and did not like 2 payslips! Goodness knows how’s its supposed to shred cds! Stopped shredding on one complete side and we had to try and clear it. Then to top it all the entire thing stopped working after about 5 mins. In fairness, the manufacturer does say not to use it for more than 3 mins but I hadn’t noticed that on the write up and didn’t expect that. Probably ok if all you are doing is shredding a couple of sheets once a day! UPDATE. Shredder has now completely broken after infrequent use after 6 months. Waste of money, avoid.
