Featherland ParadiseMulticolored Zig Zag Bird Perch Made with Cotton Rope

I use several different lengths of these fabric perches in each of my 3 parrots cages (2 African greys and 1 red-breasted cockatoo). It makes it easier to them to move around the cage. In the past, I used wooden perches, but each has fallen several times from the perches due to slipping. One of my parrots chewed the edge (next to the part that bolts on the cage) and I immediately replaced it and put a toy next to the edge from the side of the cage to discourage this, as I read some parrots will swallow the fibers and can develop an intestinal obstruction. As long as you keep a close watch for frayed strands, I think these make excellent perches. I also like that they can be bended to exactly the shape you want. Some are not as stiff in the middle and may require stabilization with a regular straight perch in areas to hold them up. This particular brand is very stiff in the middle.

What incredibly poor customer service. Will NEVER purchase from this seller again. Normally these bird perches come with 2 washers, a wingnut, and a white plastic wrap around the end of the rope, where the wire and rope come to an end. The plastic piece protects the bird from the wire; the washers go one on each side of the cage bars to help hold it level, and the wing nut of course fastens it in place.The first one they sent had no washers or wing nut on one end. I did the paperwork to send it back, and there was an option to have it replaced so I did that. The new one came -- without washers, wing nut or EVEN THE PLASTIC PIECE! (see photos) So now we have 2 rope perches that are useless.

Of the different rope perches I've bought for my parrots, this one is one of the best ones. It's stiff and holds it shape a lot better than some of the others I've purchased. I use this one for my Goffin's Cockatoo, and I like to change it up on him now and then, and this rope perch is easy to change shape if you choose to--but the zig zag shape is not bad.Rope perches like this made with string and cloth are hard to clean poop off of, so I tend to use the rope perches for outside the cage, so that they aren't perched up above them and poop down onto them.The one downside for this rope perch that's not really the perches's fault is that my cockatoo can unscrew it. For smaller or less technically inclined birds, that shouldn't be a problem.I would and probably will buy this rope perch again.

I thought it was too big for my cockatiels BUT it was great for a larger bird. I did get the smaller size down and passed this one along to a friend but after I realized it still would have worked because they do rest well on the thickness and the length would have come in just as handy for wrapping around the corner of the cage as i did the smaller one. I should have kept it. Great perch though and made well. The item was as advertised in the description, arrived in the correct time frame and was shipped well and all in tact upon delivery. When the price is right, Amazon is my number one go to for almost everything. The Prime membership is (a lifesaver sometimes even) well worth it and the fact you can keep things in the cart until the price drops makes it a huge shopping tool. Thank you.

I have had many of these over the years for my parrots, but apparently not for my African Grey! She will NOT touch it! She has always had a sisal perch and for some reason she won't touch this one. Its actually comical. So I will just give it to another one of my birds. THEY love them! LOL!

This is just awful, I should’ve listened to the other reviews but I took my chances. One side is too short to even connect to the cage and when bending it, the other side came out too far and I can’t get it back to its original position. The PVC cap no longer goes on all the way. I’m returning this.

This is the most valuable rope perch I have found over the years and through various sources. It is rare to see one of this length and quality for such a low price. It stretches and winds the length of a standard flight cage from bottom to top. It is firm and secure so birds feel safe using it. I am not sure what material the rope is, but I much prefer it to natural sisal ropes because it holds up better with use and ripping by parrots. The material is also soft so it gives the bird's feet a rest and an enriched feel compared to manzanita or dragonwood.The manufacturer of these perches provides safety precautions which state that trimming is absolutely necessary if the product begins to unravel and that it must be replaced for the bird's safety if it becomes too worn. This gave me the impression that they care about their customers' animals as most toys and perches are left without such things. I will use Paradise Toys zig-zag perches in future over all others.

I just ordered this item, received Today and it was packaged very well and once I removed it from its packaging I was going to install but I noticed that the plastic end caps came off very easily...I do not think that this will cause any issue since there are two washers and a wingnut for each end that should keep it together... Actually might be preferred ,(other than a toxic glue )since my parrot is highly sensitive to those chemical items. Overall I think the rope structure is very sturdy and will install in the cage After making sure of its safety.
