Universal in-line Viral Filter

In-line filter
All potential impurities from air or machine are filtered out before they go to the mask. Air smells much fresher. Fits my phillips bipap st machine perfect. I will be using this until a solution is found for recalled machines.

Best bacterial filter for a CPAP machine
For anyone needing/wanting a bacterial filter for their CPAP (even the auto-adjusting ones). I've used this style for 15 years and never had any problems.

Bacteria? Matbe. Viruses? I doubt it. Particles. Definitely
The 2021 Phillips Respironics recall scandal has caused these units to fly off the shelves. They can definitely stop foam particles from being inhaled, but I doubt the bacteria and virus claims. First of all, there are bacteria all over my face already, 24/7, so I’m not sure of the value of that claim, even if it’s true. (And a doctor reading this is welcome to correct me and I will correct my review.) Virus protection? Viruses are much smaller than bacteria, so I am skeptical of this claim as well. Nor does the company cite any studies to prove their claim. Further, the price is so cheap for 10 packs that I am suspicious about the country of origin, which, in turn, makes me even more suspicious of the virus-protection claim. Nevertheless, as the owner of two CPAP machines in the recall, I bought these in a pinch, until I could buy a different brand of CPAP machine.

This provided a safe way to use my CPAC machine.
This product provided a solution to the problem with my CPAC Machine. It is being recalled but I need this product to sleep until a replacement is available. It provided a safe way to use my machine. Thanks !

Works great on Phillips Dream Ststion
Was told by our sleeping clinic that this might work better for us till our machines were traded out. Extra filter!

Not useful for dreamstation
I bought this to help with the recalled dreamstation. After hooking it up I noticed a large decrease in airflow. I tried several ways to hook it up and none helped. I breathed through the hose with a without it and confirmed it was the filter restricting the airflow. It maybe very effective on the machine it was designed for but not for this CPAP.

It does the job
While I would rather not have to use an external filter on my cpap, my dream machine has a recall that makes it imperative to use an additional filter until there is a fix. While it does affect airflow some, I don’t know how this could be avoided and do its job. After using one for a few weeks it is obvious it is filtering something I don’t want to have in my lungs. I will change it every 6 weeks as long as I need to do so. To use it with my nose pillow mask I had to order an extra tube to insert the filter between that and the hose coming from right at the top of the mask. Otherwise the filter is sitting on top of my head and is very uncomfortable for me.
