Fits perfect
The media could not be loaded. Fits perfect in my Surface Book first generation. It’s charging good and it lasted about 2 o 3 hours full use after first charge.

This is a fail!
I ordered this item in October 2023, installed it and it ran fine until mid-December 2023, when it started discharging within 45 minutes after being fully charged. Today (4 Jan. 2024), the battery consistently reads as 0% even when the device is plugged in.

Battery didn't even last a year!
I purchased this battery on March 4th 2023, installed it and it worked just fine up until yesterday. I was trying to open up my computer for work and it wouldn't come on and it wouldn't charge. I noticed that the battery had swollen so much that it popped of the digitizer. Very disappointed with this product.

Satisfied with purchase
Quality seemed good. Did not expect tools but torx driver included (T3 needed) did not do the job. Had to buy one but like I said, did not expect that at part of purchase so no star taken away.

It worked for me
Just replace the battery (G3HTA020H) in my Surface Book 1 (1705) with this G3HTA044H battery and it came on. Will update later if any fails occur. Today is April 11, 2023.Heads up if your doing the repair yourself be very careful with the power button & volume button, I broke mine but I'm just happy the battery worked. Good luck!

G3HTA044H is NOT compatible with Surface Book 1 (1703/1705)
G3HTA020H is for Surface Book 1 (1703/1705)G3HTA044H is for Surface Book 2 (1832/1834)batteries look the same, but the electronic board is different, Surface Book 1 will not recognize the battery giving the odd status of 255%, and will not charge

Battery didn’t work and the tools were useless
I was really hoping that the reviews I had read were exaggerated but alas they are accurate.The first issue was that the tools were a joke. They were absolutely useless and I had to purchase a kit to unscrew the motherboard to remove the old battery and replace it with the new one.Once the work was done I had the issue of the battery itself not holding a change.I returned it and would not buy this battery brand in the future. It was a waste of time and a disappointing experience.
