There's No Time To Mourn: a Matty Cutler tale (The Matty Cutler Series Book 1)

Took no pleasure in reading it, though I ploughed through. The structure and writing are clumsy. Central character creates some interest but there is a lack of gentle evolution of events and characters.Some sense of the period but feel there has been only limited investigation of that time.Shall avoid this author in future.

The story flowed and the book was difficult to put down

I was looking forward to reading it but the download failed.

I bought the Kindle edition of this book after being recommended and I must say I was pleasantly surprised as this is not the usual kind of novel I would read. The book is steeped in history and you feel transported back to the 1300’s the time of the plague and you get a real sense of what life must have been like at that time in history. It’s not only a very good story but is atmospheric, educational and inspiring. Can’t wait to start reading the next instalment in the Matty Cutler saga trilogy.

Great plot with good historical detail. Lots of twists and turns which draw you into the story and get closer together as it reaches its climax. A good read.

Great story, well researched

I loved this book. I really liked the 3 main characters and enjoyed following each of their journeys. Interesting reading about the plague and life in the 14th Century. An easy book to read and I couldn't put it down. This book had all the ingredients to keep me hooked. Would definitely recommend.
