Q: can cloth that has been repaired with this tape be later on put in a washer and dryer?

I washed a comforter that had TUFF tape on it without a problem. However, the tape came loose in the hit dryer. I would recommend cold or warm water, not hot, and avoid using a dryer unless it has an air dry cycle.
