This canvas does come folded in a box with obvious creases throughout. And, even worse, if you unroll it and leave it crumpled or not flat, it was crease/wrinkle almost immediately. However, if you know how to stretch a canvas well and use gesso to prime it, the wrinkles and creases are no issue. I built 8 foot canvases and they are perfect after being stretched and primed. The canvas itself is thick and high-quality. You simply can’t beat the cost here as long as your willing to put in the work. Excuse the mess, but this is the pre-primed result of an 8’ X 3’ canvas.

For the last two years I've been making my own canvases using canvas drop-cloths. I have reached a reasonable level of success and so, I decided to "Up my game.". I felt that I deserved to have better as I had proven I was taking art seriously. I am VERY happy with this canvas. It is much smoother and professional. When I made my first canvas with my new roll from The Fabric Exchange I was blown away at the significant improvement. It was like a drum over the frame. The weave is tight and there are few blemishes. The roll was shipped wrapped in heavy plastic and tape wrapped all the way around. It was quite secure during shipping. Finally, this was the best deal on the web that I could find! A great product at a great price. I would absolutely order from you again. It will be a while as I have a lot of canvas. I hope you can feel a sense of a job well done when you know that the canvas you ship out is experiencing the mind of the artist being cast upon it. Thank you!

This fabric is great, heavy, thick, and durable. I have used it to make art aprons, pillow covers, and tote bags. Absolutely love it. Just ordered a second one!

Misleading title says “Bulk by The Roll”. Did not come in a roll, so annoying! I got a folded package that is now all creased. I had to find a tube and roll it myself which is pretty hard to get the borders even. Also in some places it has some random line marks. To the seller: if you don’t send a roll don’t put it in the title! And be more specific in the description! The 2 stars are for the quality of the canvas which I like.

Expected this to come on a roll but i guess when is says 13 yds comes as a bolt i didnt realize that meant folded in a box. But other than that the canvas is good quality just get the bigger size if you want a roll :)

It's a very nice sturdy fabric, and didn't have any undesirable funky smells when I unfurled it. Incredible value for the price. I think they might have sent me a larger roll than I ordered, which is good, because when I'm done with my current project I'd like to redo the sails on my Spanish War Galleon. I think I'll have just enough cloth for that and maybe some left over for my sloop. I can wait to circumnavigate something!

The fabric is great, heavy weight and color is excellent. Why only three stars. It was folded over and not even neatly, it was like someone just wadded it up and through it in a package. I had to spend my time to unwrap all the fabric and to properly fold it and roll it on a tube. If you are buying more than 2 yards of fabric it should come on a tube. It is so wrinkled I would have to think twice about ordering again.
