Next best thing to getting the soup from a Thai restaurant!
I do a lot of Thai cooking at home, and using these packets save me about 4 hours over making the soup out of its original ingredients (which are a little hard to find sometimes, anyway). So I'm liking these packets, even though they seem a bit pricey. But they're worth it. Taste great and soup now takes under half an hour instead of half a day!

Lots of aspects to consider.
Let me say that I'm a huge fan of Pad Thai. I grew up eating a lot of different ethnic foods, but Indian and Thai were family favorites.A couple things to consider about this sauce:1. There are a ton of reviews with competing viewpoints. Some say it tastes *exactly* like the pad than the reviewer knows and loves, and some say the exact opposite. I've eat a ton of pad thai from different restaurants, cities, states, and countries and I'll say this: no pad thai is exactly alike. If you ask 10 people to make spaghetti with meatballs, they'll all taste different. This pad thai sauce tastes *similar* to what I'm used to at my favorite restaurant...enough to kill the pad thai craving I've had since the beginning of the pandemic (our favorite Thai restaurant is half an hour away, and we've tried to stay away from restaurants since the pandemic really blew up in our area).2. One negative about this sauce is that, while the package I bought comes with (6) packets, I had to use three of them for one batch of Pad Thai. My recipe used a pack of Thai Kitchen stir-fry rice noodles (14 oz.), half a crown of broccoli, one package of firm tofu, one scrambled egg, and a generous handful of shredded cabbage. One pouch of sauce didn't even cover half of the noodles. Neither did a second pouch. After adding the third pouch, all of the noodles and veggies were coated with sauce. I also want to note that even though the noodles and veggies were all beautifully coated with sauce, there was no leftover sauce pooling in the bottom of the pot. I haven't refrigerated this yet or reheated any of it, and I suspect that I will end up having to add a tad more sauce once it's been fully soaked into the noodles, tofu and veggies. I'll try to remember to update my review afterwards.Bottom line, I personally enjoyed this sauce and found it much more convenient than making it from scratch (which I *have* done before with decent success). I also think that next time I do it, I will use this sauce as a base and then doctor it up based on my personal preferences. If you buy this sauce, make sure to buy enough to add extra sauce to the recipe! Enjoy!

Great Phad Thai at home ;-D...easy to make if you follow the instructions on the box...!!!
I bought this Phad Thai mix so I could learn more about how to cook Thai food. I am trying to go as close to vegetarian as I can and many dishes at a Thai restaurant are available as non-meat versions. This kit has the rice noodles and the Phad Thai sauce. You will have to add everything else. You have to soak the noodles first to prepare. I boiled some water in a microwave oven and then soaked in a container the length of the noodles...this will be the longest step so do this first and then prep the vegetables, tofu, peanuts, etc. after that is going for a while. It's a great kit but I wish the sauce was somewhat more spicy as it was a little tame compared to restaurant version. Otherwise it was a pretty good example of the Restaurant version once I put in my tofu and my chicken-less chicken substitute that I bought at Sprouts...

My family loves this pad Thai sauce
We used to buy this as a tub, but can’t always find it. Rice noodles are easy to come by at the grocery store but not everyone carries this sauce. We like adding chopped peanuts, sautéed tofu, and scrambled eggs to our pad Thai, but some people also add shrimp or chicken. A squeeze of lime at the end is also a must!More detailed info on how to make Pad Thai with this sauce-Cube up medium or firm tofu that has been drained. Then sauté / fry the tofu in vegetable oil until it’s crispy on the sides or however you like it. Near the end of cooking add some pad Thai sauce and let it cook for another minute, stirring it around. In the mean time prepare your rice noodles by soaking them in warm water (the time varies with the thickness of your noodles), we have tried various ways and like the fettuccine-like size soaked about 20 minutes. Too long and they break apart when you do the next step- do not boil them or they turn to mush!Remove tofu from the pan and add the rice noodles, sautéing them. You may need to add more oil. When they are the desired consistency add the sauce, and stir around to cook a bit longer, letting them absorb the sauce. Remove from heat. You can then add scrambled egg, chopped peanuts, cooked shrimp, chicken, bean sprouts, etc.
