3 AM is an excellent brand.
3 AM is a great tape and this is nice and thick and I thought the value was very good. It’s not the kind of tape that you can see the strings underneath of the plastic. It’s much thicker.. it’s very sticky.!!!!

Quick patch solution for metal awning
I purchased two rolls of this Tough Duct Tape by Scotch 3M to use for outdoor applications that I want to hold throughout wet, cold winters in the Northwest. My first use of this product has been to use it to patch a roof to my well house. The roofing material is metal awning, and it had a couple drill holes that needed patching. I decided to use this tape and paint over the tape to hide it. It looks great and waterproofed the holes which was the purpose. It adhered perfectly to the metal without being tough to use. I was able to paint over it too, without any peeling up of the tape.I will also be using this tape on painted cement and tarp material. I will update this review over time and use of this product, but for now I'm giving it 5 stars as it is performing well and as expected.-------------------------------------------------10/23/15: This tape is easy to tear, and I used it to cover a wood cover for the crawlspace to my home. Very easy to apply and just ahead of our first major rain storm. It worked perfectly to sheet the rain from the plywood it is covering and looks good too. Very happy with this product and wouldn't hesitate to buy more if needed.------------------------------------------------------

Very Helpful with Outdoor Lights
During the winter holiday season, this duct tape was invaluable. The outdoor plug for our Christmas lights was on the opposite side of the patio. With this tape, we were able to push the heavy duty cord into the slight indentation between sections of concrete and prevent anyone tripping on the cord. Usually this required three pieces of tape to satisfy my wife- a first piece on top of the cord and then a piece of matching length on each edge of that first piece. The tape removes easily off concrete. The only place where it left a tiny bit of residue was around the rubber/plastic ends of the cords of lights where we joined them to make one longer, continuous string. This tape survived some heavy rain as well as some unseasonably hot and dry days.

Perfect lazy solution for a leaky sun roof
The Good: After caulking my never-used-yet-leaking sunroof on my Toyota 4-runner for the 2nd time, I bought this as a last ditch effort to save my wallet from some expensive dealership repairs. It's been a month of terribly rainy Spring weather, and it seems to be holding up well. Easy to apply, and I was left with plenty for the inevitable patch jobs. Great $5 option. The Bad: So far, I have no complaints, only a dry passenger seat, so I'm happy, but I'll be sure to update my review if this changes.Pros:-Easy to apply-Fairly waterproof-Nice upgrade from regular duct tapeCons:-None so farBuy again:-AbsolutelyIf you have any questions about this product, feel free to message me.*If this review has helped you in any way, please select the YES below. Tough It Is!
I would give this a 5 Star but the roll arrived wrinkled all throughout the tape. It appeared to have been in extreme heat for some time. However, it is tough and sticky. This is what I needed for Houston's high humidity and wet winters. (we wrap our pipes for winter) it is also 100 times better than the "duct" tape which I consider a cheap imitation. If you want tape that will last, this is what you want.1 tear later: I discovered rotten wood outside of my garage. I first applied Wood Filler. Knowing I would not paint it soon I used this strong duct tape over the wood fill. I reside in southern Texas where the average humidity is 80%. We have decent rain and frequent large storms. This Scotch Tough Tape is still perfectly attached to the filler and wood. No ends coming up. No wrinkles. I am completely sold on this superior tape. You will not regret buying this Scotch tape.

Excellent solution!
My mail carrier stuffs packages inside my mailbox instead of getting out of the vehicle and putting them in my drop box. She has managed to destroy a mailbox every two years. This last time I though I got it right and installed a plastic box instead of a metal one, and we just hit the two year mark. I was delighted that I had outsmarted her. But then I went out to extract a package that she had jammed in there and I heard a crack. Not the mailbox this time, but the metal support bracket broke from the post. I had to do something or not receive my mail, so I wrapped regular duct tape around it, and it worked pretty well! I knew it wouldn't hold up to the weather, though, so I ordered this stuff and wrapped it carefully around and made it look like a design element.... I gotta say, it's been a couple of months of snow and rain and this mail carrier, and it is just as tight as when I first put it up. Now I'm waiting to see if it will hold up to the heavy construction going on on my road. I have a feeling it might. But if it doesn't, I'll just put more on! Don't hesitate - this stuff is great! If it can stand up to the USPS, it can stand up to anything!
