My dog LOVES these
These are the best reward and training treats for a dog. Mine will do anything to get one of these treats.

Dog loves them
A friend introduced us to these threats and I am so happy she did. My Chihuahua puppy goes crazy for these. Huge bag too. Nice size treats.

Perfect treat size
These are the perfect treat size to give for training and the bag does not have a lot of small dust or broken pieces.

Great choice when they're priced lower
My two dogs like these treats. They enjoy them, they don't love them, but then they're difficult, they're poodles, they're... French. My dogs are small and these are perfectly sized for them. The size of the treat is not uniform, there are long ones and thick ones and bits and pieces and dust, but as a crushed topping they're awesome. I actually keep small pliers near the treat jar so that I can break up the treats. One crush and they become brittle and easy to break up. They also make a fine intact treat... quite good.I'm the kind of person who looks at the price per ounce of foods and treats -- as well as the general ingredients. The price on this fluctuates wildly. When they're inexpensive, they're awesome, now that they're higher priced, I'm switching to something else. Many of the similar treats... with identical ingredients... are sold in very small bags for just half the price of these. That can amount to paying ten times more (per ounce) when buying the smaller bag. If you're the kind of person who buys cute little (thinking itty bitty little jars of Skippy peanut butter) overpriced containers of household items, I don't think you (or your animals) are the intended market for these treats. They're just not that refined. The more frugal, yet still quality-minded, shopper, however, when these are purchased toward their lower price range, will be very pleased -- Five star pleased, when adjusted for somewhat lower (I'd say "realistic") expectations. After opening, but being careful to reseal the bag, these treats will last for months, in my experience. Its great that there isn't any filler in the treats, like, really great, IMHO. There's a little bit of "gristle" and hard stuff... all seem to be genuine, related animal parts, in some treats. I regard that as essential roughage that is beneficial for dogs. The material is tendon or something, not hooves and hair.My advice is to buy a big bag when its on sale if you have a smaller dog. Divide the bag into a couple of batches to preserve freshness and put them back in the bag. The manufacturer might consider doing this for you.

These are great.....but I have 2 issues - plus an UPDATE about crushed treats.
UPDATE - My dogs love these treats, so I finally ordered 5 bags at the same time (4 liver and trial of the chicken). Now I understand all the complaints about these great treats coming in as crushed little bits. It's not about the company that creates the treats it's about AMAZON's packing policies. When my husband opened the box he said why are the treats in bits and pieces? I looked and it seems Amazon jammed them ALL into a mid-sized box and, since these are freeze dried, they managed to crush them into bits and pieces. I'm very annoyed because a bag of these are not cheap, but I will make do for now and just give them smaller pieces. Next time I'll order them one at a time to make sure they don't turn into dried kibble.Issue 1 - is some of the bags have tiny little humidity packs in them.....I assume to keep it as "dried" treats. BUT, it's not in every bag and I'd say maybe 2 out of 5-6 bags have them, they are about an inch and a half long and oblong. Now I give 3 dogs morning and evening treats 4-5 each, so I just reach in the bag and give it to the dogs without looking until one day I saw one in a bag and now I'm worried, perhaps I may have given one to a dog without paying attention. I swear I never saw it before so then I started looking in each bag. I now realize that they are not in all the bags.....just 1-2 bags here and there. I wish they would be consistent. I even caught myself accidentally giving one to Lady and snatched it out of her mouth. BE CONSISTENT....PUT THEN IN THE BAG OR DON'T PUT THEM IN THE BAG. Now I watch very carefully.Issue 2, it seems like some of the treats have what appears to be paper or something attached to some of the treats. What is that all about? I scratch the sides and YES it is a paper like consistency, those I don't give to my dogs. Sometimes I wonder if that little humidity thing gets melted onto some of treats. I don't know, but I am now cautious with these treats. My dogs love the Liver ones so it's me who has to be careful for their sake and look at each piece.
