Msr Titan Kettle

How can you not love this kettle/mug ??Perfect for a solotraveller - you need about 400 ml of boiling water to a good big cup of tea/coffee - and about 350 - 400 ml boiling water to most freeze dried food portions for a single traveller .And more than acceptable for 2 persons - 2 cups ready in the morning in one kettle boil - 2 portions of freeze dried food ready in one pot boil .. :)Extra pros : it has a larger bottom area towards the stove - increasing heat transfer to the pot and its content = faster boil !! Super compact and light on weight !! Possible to erect the handle on the lid by lifting it up to vertical , and yank it back into the indentation/notch of the foundation holding the handle !!As a trekker in Scandinavia I might in principle love to have an extra handle on the top of the kettle/mug to hang it above a bonfire - but it is so small , that it is better to place it in the outer areas of the bonfire ...Please forgive me for any spelling errors - I am Danish ....

Very light and strong. Lid handle can be locked upright. Can fit an MSR microrocket and 100g canister stove inside with room to spare. Fits a 230g gas canister just. Lid fit is snug which is good. Expensive but a quality product that will probably outlive me so I am happy to recommend it. Perfect size for water-only hiking meals or making coffee/tea for 2 or 3. Another great MSR product especially for those weight conscious hikers out there.You know you want it.

I was a huge fan of the GSI minimalist pot but due to a change of cooker I needed something with a wider base. I decided after a lot of research to go for the MSR and I have not been disappointed. It is a fantastic piece of kit and I won't go on a camping trip without it. Very practical and the easy poring lid makes it perfect for boiling water.

The item looks stunning. However, it may be too thin to put it in your backpack without a risk of damaging the kettle by the pressure of the rest of your stuff. So you may need an additional plastic box to protect this expensive kettle. It is extremely light, but...

Nice quality but smaller than I expected .. I thought I'd be able to get my msr pocket rocket stove and mini gas canister in it but you can't .. the lid is a good snug fit ..

Perfect size for top of micro rocket. Serves two mugs or two rehydrate-in-the-bag meals. Boiled within 3 minutes. Handles not too hot to touch when I used it. Does what it should at very low weight. I fitted my 250 gas canister inside it with a hanky round - stops any wear and tear and can be used for handle if hot. Very pleased.

Super quality, fast boil, lightweight, robust. Standard c100 size gas canister fits inside. Easily cleanable, but if the worst happens, steel wool makes good as new
