I got this for a trip to Cuba to minimise my buying of water bottles.Pros:●easy to use-fill up with water, drink through straw.●trustworthy filter. Didn't have any probs drinking tap water in Cuba because all the everything is filtered out.●works chin muscles! Hello defined jawline!Cons:● not leak-proof. I had it in a shoulder bag and it did not stay upright and leaked through the top gasket and got my book wet. Leaks anytime it's flat. This would be avoided by hanging the bottle from a bag with a carabiner, but I was in cute city attire, not in backpacker mode.●no mechanism to pour filtered water (but I also didn't want to spend $$$ for a fancier water filter bottle) so I still got bottled water to make my coffee.● because it filters all the everything, you need to be mindful of replacing minerals to your body. Easy tip- add extra sea salt or Himalayan salt to your food. That helps replace minerals and aids in water retention.

Bought these for a trip to Mexico, in hopes of keeping my kids and us healthy throughout, and we had no problems (maybe a combination of our other precautions and this bottle, but couldn't hurt). At the very least, the bottle made clean water from the hotel's questionable taps and we avoided the substantial expense of the hotel's bottled water. After that trip, we took it on another eight-country jaunt, and again, no problems.As others have noted, it takes a bit of pull to get water through the filter. Don't expect this to work like a bottle with just a straw and no filter--if you want clean water to drink, you have to work for it a little. But, it's not an unreasonable demand, and once we got used to it, no complaints from the kids.

Great quality filtered water bottle. I was concerned about being able to draw through the straw for me or my three year old daughter based on others reviews, but we had no issues and we're able to drink through it easily. Great quality product.

I like the bottle, but it is not the one in the picture. the one i received is green and has a white lid. I think that the only similarity between the bottle that i received and the one in the photo is the filter. I had a little bit of a problem with leaking if the bottle was turned on its side, not fun. All of that aside, the filter does what it is cracked out to be. I took it to china and drank water from just about everything without getting sick.

What a wonderful bottle to have while hiking!I bought two of these for my daughter and i to go deep into the woods hiking. I admit it was scary at first when my daughter and i ran out of water and had to switch to this bottle. I filled my bottle out of a lake with dead bugs and floating things. In the cleanest part of the water we filled our hydroblu bottle and we drank. Neither of us found it hard to suck the water through the staw as reviews had said. I found the taste to be amazing, my daughter thought it had a slight hosey taste at first. Neither one of us got sick and it was awesone to go pond or lake to lake to keep out water supply abundant.I will never go hiking without this bottle and i bought two more for future use.Cleaning the filter was easy and i no longer fear drinking water where we find it.A must have if going outdoors hiking or camping.Im 100% loving this hydroblu lifesaver!

I have bought four of these and in every case, they fail after the first use. I have followed the drying instructions for storage. After a month without use, we cant get any water thru the tube.

I bought this awhile back for a hiking trip because i didnt want to pack a lot of water. It is amazing. To say the least, i have drank from mountain lakes, puddles, streams and rivers through it with no issues at all ever!! Better than brita in my honest opinion. A definite must have for trips or traveling.

Hard to draw water through the filter for kids. Not good for camping. Got a life straw after buying this. Money not well spent.
