I was told trough a hair analysis that my mare could possibly have ulcers. Without an doing extensive exam I did not feel comfortable spending 100s on ulcer meds. That’s when I found MagnaGard. Thankfully the supplement works great and I saw immediate results in my mare, that led me to believe that original hair analysis was probably true and she was in fact suffering from ulcers. I have a warmblood filly with ulcers. I treated her with omeprazole for a month, and at the end of the course added on magnagard. She really seems to like the flavor, doesn’t refuse it as long as I put it in her feed before I give it to her and mix it in well (she’s picky). I like putting a smidge of water in the bucket to make sure it really sticks to her food and doesn’t end up in a pile at the bottom of her bucket. She did well on magnagard for a month, so I decided to try to wean it. She tried to kick me for touching her belly after only 2 days off. Restarted it and I’ve got my sweet baby back. Great stuff. I’ve also added it to my other mare’s food because she has a lot of diarrhea and is moody. Seems to have stopped the diarrhea (normal poops now) and also mellowed her out towards her herd mates a bit. Overall I recommend trying this product, but I do recommend a full 28 day course of omeprazole first to treat the ulcers, then start this. I do not think it is strong enough for monotherapy for full blown gastritis with ulcers, but once ulcers are under control, great product for prevention.

My boy was very touchy and girthy. Used this whole bag and absolutely not one bad thing to say. He's happy now and not touchy or girthy. He did enjoy it mixed with a little water to make it stick to the grain (sat overnight) otherwise he wouldn't eat it. Great price too. Lasted roughly about 2 months.

Eagle Equine Products are amazing!! I had a horse that was high stung and didn’t eat well, a very hard keeper. I put her on the MagnaGard Gastric Support I was sure to mix it with water to stick with her grain since she is a picky eater and after a couple weeks, My mare was not nervous, she focused on the barrel pattern and we where lucky enough to win many prizes, buckles, money and saddles. I’m a true believer it helps with their ulcers and gives them minerals they are lacking due to a high stress job. I’m thankful Eagle Equine Products helped me get the right supplement to make my horse happy and love her job.

Not sure why thickness, warmth, and flavor are the adjectives of choice lol, but this stuff is AMAZING. I have a sensitive sally off the track thoroughbred who was falling apart from ulcers. I bought this and gave the max dose for 30 days along with some omeprazole. I’ve since weaned her to the maintenance dose and she is a DIFFERENT HORSE! Coat came back shiny, eats normal, no more belly aches. Highly recommend!

would like it to be not so powdery, would be great if it was a liquid!! do you make pellets?

So, after attempting this product to include wetting down, my pony wanted nothing to do with this product. She lost about 50 pounds since she was not eating her grain I tried to do a return on Amazon, but they would not accept it so money down the drink for me.
