Q: Does this stuff leave the tires matte black after it breaks down/rinses off over time?

I use this om my corvette. So far I like the way it looks, in that it not to shiny and seems to hold up well. I always lightly wipe tires down after application and so far have not experienced any flinging or discoloration. Personally, I like this product.

Q: I have a older bottle of opti bond and it looks like its separating. Does that mean its gone bad? or will shaking it back up be alright?

How old ? Usually products are good for a year. Shake it up and see what it looks like. Use it on a old tire to see if it still works or how long it will last. As long as it didn't freeze you might be ok.

Q: This stuff has been great on tires - but I'm wondering if anyone has used it for plastic exterior trim (think Jeep Wrangler).

I tried it once on the black plastic trim between the side windows and the result wasn't good. The stuff is a bit greasy and would attract much dust. I'd say try it for yourself on a small space, won't hurt.

Q: Is this stuff kind of like the pinnacle black onyx tire gel? Does it help to moisturize the tires and protect the tires from cracking?

I have not used the pinnacle product before. However the optimum tire gel is like thick lotion. Kind of gel like. It puts I nice thick shiny coat on each tire. It lasts well over a week before becoming dull. I have been using it for six month now on all five of my vehicles. So far it has been great.
