This is now my go to pack!!
I love this pack, I bought it to supplement my other two Ospreys 75L which I use on expeditions lasting a month or more and my 33L which basically functions as my day pack. I wanted something in between my two existing packs for my alpine summit trips, after doing the research it’s no surprise I found another Osprey met everything I was looking for. So I ordered the Mutant 52L which was a great midway size for me and it had two awesome features, the ice axe clips and the build on helmet holder, both features make my life so much easier. I wish it had a front pocket for small things like chapstick, gloves, etc., but otherwise I love it. It has since become my go to pack.

Great ski mountaineering sack
Great build quality. Nice features catered towards the ski mountaineer. Detachable kid which makes it more versatile.

Great all around bag
Great all around bag for many purposes. I’ve brought it climbing and mountaineering. Lots of smart features. It’s a jack of all trades with enough space to support multi day trips.

Great light pack.
I like the versatility of the pack. The ice axe loops are great and it’s great for strapping crampons on the outside (although a more durable patch of fabric would ease my mind). I really liked the additional helmet strap on the top of the pack to save space inside and the built in internal pouch to stow the strap away. I prefer everything to be lightweight (yet durable) and I this fit the bill and was comfortable. I only wish that there was side access to the pack. A durable zipper running down the length would be great. I was climbing in Japan in some awful wind and sleet. It was difficult to get items out from the top end of the pack with the given conditions.
