Enthusiastic reader
I bought this for a young aspiring chef and he’s in love with the book. That’s all you can ask for.

Great buy!
Purchased for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas and she immediately wanted to make multiple things from it.Great selection of recipes for kids and adults to enjoy.I will note that not all recipes have as much instruction as a child would need so it’s definitely a book we will use together.

Impressive Book!
I bought this book for my grand-nephew for Christmas. Had it shipped to me so I could include it with his family's gifts - and so I could check it out for myself! The book is very appealing in its design and approach. Love the hints included to "Think Like a Chef". My nephew is vegetarian and I was concerned the recipes might be limited for him. Not at all! Loads of healthy, fun types of food and recipes included. Love this book so much - I'm thinking I need to get one for myself!

Good book from a poor selker/shipper
I can't say nothing bad about the book itself. I buy many kids cookbooks and this is amount my favorites. The issues I had with my order was with the seller and shipper as my order came folded in half and damaged. Since I bought this as a gift it's poor condition for a "new" book left me without a gift with no time to replace it! Would by more titles from the author but not the seller.

Multiple Failures, Tired of Wasting Ingredients
REALLY disappointed in this book. Definitely consider myself an above average cook and baker. My girls participate often in the kitchen, and we experience recipe success 99% of the time. So I thought this book might help them branch out on their own a bit with fool-proof, tested recipes by the Culinary Institute. HOWEVER...The first two recipes we made: Flourless Chocolate Cake, and Apple Hand Pies...did not turn out at all, despite following the recipes precisely! One of my biggest irritations is wasting a load of ingredients (ie: 6 Eggs and 1LB of semi sweet chocolate for the cake!) for it to turn out terribly. When I say terribly...the chocolate cake was "eggy" terribly under-cooked, even though we followed the time requirement - and when we turned it out of the pan, it fell out like under-set Jell-O and the butter separated from the solid and ran out all over the platter - it was gross and had to be thrown away. The mini apple pies seemed easier - again - followed recipe to the T, and the sauce was so runny in the apples that it just ran off the dough before we could fill the pies. What's the point of a butter/sugar/vanilla sauce for the apples if it isn't thick enough to stay in the mini pie? Other recipes we tried were similar in results - measurements seem off and cook times aren't quite right. The only think I liked about this book were the "chefs notes" on the side that suggest variations to the recipe, allowing the young cook to think outside the box. But if it doesn't turn out the first time, chances are you aren't going to make it again anyway! The William-Sonoma Kids cookbook has more reliable recipes, however it omits desserts, which is the only downside.

Great Little Cookbook for Kids
This us a great cookbook for anyone just learning to cook. Recipes are easy to follow and photos are beautiful. Most children should have no problem following the direstions.

really good recipe! I think it was because it had ...
This was a gift for two young ladies. I happened to be there when they received it. The first night they cooked the stuffed shells. Really, really good recipe! I think it was because it had 3 different kinds of cheese in the recipe. I felt this book was a good book for a child because it has the CIA behind it, having been in the hospitality business for a long time, I wanted a reputable author. Mission accomplished.
