I really didn't think these would be better than a jar
All I can say is, I am thoroughly impressed. I used jars from pickles prior to this. They were airtight but clear, however storing in the pantry it was dark so no direct light. They did a good job, or so I thought. I used this jar and after a month I checked the condition and the herbs were as moist and fresh as the day I got them. It doesn't take much to dry out herbs, just the air in the container can do it. At least that what I thought, as a pickle jar would preserve them but not anywhere near this well. Maybe it could buy a couple months before the dryness would take the flavor and use diwn to minimum. I waited several months before writing this review for the specific purpose of being able to give a thorough testing. So here we are months later, and my herbs are STILL moist. Not as moist as day one, but moist enough I expect they will last several more months. This means of course I don't have to go shopping nearly as often, and it saves a little fundage to boot. I will be buying more of these and the price for the value is superb. If you are looming for long lasting preservation, you will not be disappointed. If my review was helpful please mark it as helpful below. Thanks.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST JARS ON PLANET EARTH
I've been using Herb Preserve jars for over 7 years I would never use another JAR in my life. I've tested Herb Preserve and several other methods to see which is the best option. Mason Jar with Electric tape all over it, Glass jars, Amber colored jars, pill bottles, even the plastic bottles you get from the dispensary etc. None of them are even close btw you say on your description 3-6 months for freshness I can tell you for a fact it is over a year. Got some cheese over a year ago and the jar got lost lol found it this weekend. Unscrewed the jar to find my cheese smelling dank and tasting even better. I don't know what you guys to do your JARS but if your on the fence about spending cash on these JARS do it especially if you got some Dank and want to keep it fresh regardless of when you plan on using it these are the best at keeping everything FRESH AND DANK like the day you got it. THANK YOU HERB PRESERVE A+++

I would give 11 stars if possible!!!
I have had numerous interactions with this company and all 110% positive. My first order came with a broken lid and after same day communication (within an hour actually) they contacted me and had two new replacement lids on the way.I immediately purchased 3 more jars and the day later received an email for a discount on my next purchase.... I contacted them and they immediately offered me a better discount and shipping discount on my next order. So far I have placed three orders and have 11 jars all very high quality light block glass.I immediately noticed a difference in the humidity and quality change of my herbs after 24 hours storage.I add a Boveda humidifier packet and have now achieved pure storage perfection!I test the cracked lid which went all the way to the lip of the jar and even the broken lid blocked the scent so much so that my super sniffer wife could not smell anything. If you have super quality herbs and spices then you deserve to store them perfectly.I highly recommend the product and have not experienced customer service on this level in decades.Phenomenal!!!

5/5
First of all, these are amazing glass containers. I bought them being an skeptic of using jars to stash some "things" there. I always thought that these things didn't work at all but, since using them, I will never stash "something" anyplace else. These jars are announced that protect from uv-lighting but, after a long day outside, something smelled weird inside. Still good, but smelled weird. After a couple of months, one of the jars fell from my bed, breaking a small part of it (specifically the lid). Thinking about sticking it together with some crazy-glue, but the rest of the jar handled the hit pretty well. Also, they hold 1/2 oz comfortably and a bit more. So, if you need to stash some spices or dry tobacco, this should be your first choice. Just, don't leave it out in the sun.

Work great, and do what they are made for.
I have bought a few of these in the past from the herb preserve website. Had to order some to my parents and went with Amazon so the box wouldn't say herb preserve ha. Anyways, ship fast, product came in as expected. These jars are GREAT at what they do. No smell, fresh for literally months and they look pretty decent too. I have large ones, tiny ones and some in between. They hold up very well, but I have broken a cap (plastic piece) a few times. You can easily (and cheaply) order replacements from them though. The actual jars have NEVER had any damage, over a few years of travel, and bad treatment.

I researched for hours looking for the perfect jar to store my herbs for long periods of ...
I only received my HerbPreserve today but ao far it has lived up to all the promises I read online. I researched for hours looking for the perfect jar to store my herbs for long periods of time, and sources kept pointing me to this. I was amazed at how much this company researched that I never even thought about, like the ultra violet glass to block out light more effectively than any other material. My favorite part about this jar, is that it didn't disappoint in promising to not only maintain, but to actually enhance the smell of my herbs. I expect to use this product for a very long time and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect herb jar.

Needs some improvements
I love the glass and shape/sizes of these jars but there are some improvements that need to be made to make these a great product.- Get rid of the paper labels and use a water resistant material instead Or etch the glass with a logo etc.The first time I washed these jars (right when I received them) the labels began to deteriorate and they had to be removed. The least you could do is either don't put them on at all or provided something that's not going to fall apart with the first wash.- The advertisements for these jars state that they are air tight sealed and that they prevent you from smelling the contents but I could clearly smell the herbs in these containers and they don't seem to seal well. This also needs a redesign so that they seal much better without having to reef the lids so tight you can't open them.If these issues were fixed these would be great herb containers.
