OXO Good Grips Classic Swipe Ice Cream Scoop

I bought this OXO Good Grips Classic Ice Cream Scoop to replace my old one, which had a plastic lever that broke after only a couple of years. We eat ice cream pretty regularly in this house, so when my old scoop bit the dust, I was very disappointed. A basic spoon just doesn’t cut it when you’re trying to get a perfectly round scoop with the right serving size. So naturally, I turned to Amazon for a new one. Let me tell you, this scoop is a game changer. First, it has a metal lever, so no more worrying about it breaking on me after a couple years of use. It’s also nice and heavy, which makes scooping even the most frozen, hard-as-a-rock ice cream a breeze. No more breaking a sweat trying to dig into that pint of mint chocolate chip! Plus, I’ve been tossing it in the dishwasher (top rack, of course) and it’s been holding up just fine. I honestly don’t see how anyone could find anything wrong with this scoop. It does its job, it’s sturdy, and it makes my ice cream indulgence a lot easier. If you’re still using that plastic lever scoop that’s on its last leg, it’s time to upgrade to this beauty. It’s totally worth it!

I have been wanting a sturdy ice cream scoop with a trigger for some time, but for the longest time all I could find in stores were cheap-looking scoops with plastic triggers that I figured would not last long. Then I found this one. I loved the fact that it was all metal and appeared to be overall well-built. Evidently, I was mistaken. I went to scoop some ice cream out... and the thing snapped in half before I even got a single scoop! On closer inspection, it seems that the scoop was simply glued (albeit poorly) to the handle. I can't believe that OXO would release such a poorly-constructed product. I had high hopes for this product; unfortunately, I simply cannot recommend this product to anyone. EDIT: I reached out through the company's site and provided photos. They sent me a replacement with no further questions asked, and this time, it works beautifully (and I have used it multiple times)! I guess it was just a manufacturing defect in the original scoop. Either way, I had wonderful customer service, and I got the product that I initially hoped for. I can now say that I do recommend this product.

I recently bought the OXO Good Grips Swipe Ice Cream Scoop, and it’s one of the best kitchen gadgets I own! The design is sleek and comfortable to hold, lightweight and the non-stick surface really makes this product different from others — the ice cream slides smoothly without needing to use another spoon on the bowl. Easy to clean up, nothing sticks. Definitely worth the price and makes dessert time so much enjoyable!

An upgrade from my last one, I wanted a stainless steel scooper. This was smooth in shipping neg and release. I used it for cookie dough too and it worked perfectly. Love OXO brand

Great high quality scoop. I needed this for scooping soft pudding brownie desert and the swipe arm keeps it from sticking to the spoon like regular ice cream scoopers. Great when you want a round item to pop out and not stick.

Super resistente. Pesa un poco pero es lo que hace que vaya taaan bien, es genial. El mando es muy comodo, es muy facil hacer la bola de helado y con la palanquita del lado es genial para dejar la bola sin necesidad de sacudir ni dar golpes. Super buena calida, de professional.

O produto parece ser feito com material de ótima qualidade, apresenta bom acabamento, sendo robusto e eficiente. Como utilizei poucas vezes, ainda não posso comentar sobre a durabilidade.
