Is the pitch black like completely black out?

It’s not pitch black, you can still see when inside. My son is autistic and loves dark dens so this is ideal for his bed. It has netted panels too so it can still be fully enclosed and still let in some light by revealing the netting panels.

What is the point of this product?

My children have to share a bedroom so I find them having one of these bed tents each gives them some form of privacy. Also keeps mosquitoes away for them and stops moths flapping in their faces when the windows are open. Open one of the doors at the end and put a fan infront of it turns it into a cool refreshing wind tunnel on the hot nights.

Will this fit on a shorty bed? Mattress size is 175x75cm

I didn’t put the tent under the bed, but I just put the mattress inside and it was ok

How sturdy is this tent? Can I put like a few blanket over it, without it collapsing on itself?

Not sure why you would want to put blankets over it? It is dark inside when zips are done up. I bought as a sensory bed tent for my autistic son. He also often sits on top of it and it does collapse on itself as expected but springs back into shape straight away. It would take the weight of a fleece type blanket though to answer your question.
