it is the best book on options I've ever read
While the book can be a difficult read, it is the best book on options I've ever read, and I've read many of them. You can get a lot out of the book without paying too much attention to the technical detail, although if you're going to trade options, you'd best know the technical detail. Further, the book is more like a text book than an easy read. It needs to be studied. This book is so good in its presentation of options trading compared to every other book I've read on the subject, I think it's outstanding and should be read by anyone before they attempt to trade options. You'll more than save the price of the book and make your time studying the book worthwhile, in my opinion.

Excellent In-depth analysis of Option Pricing
Options Edge is a very entertaining book. Particularly interesting are the unusual applications of options pricing like home loans and the Fed put.I enjoyed the derivation of the Greeks and the in-depth analysis despite finding that the definitions of units such time (years rather than days) and interest rates (fractions not %) were not adequately covered. Programming the Black-Scholes equations into an Excel spreadsheet to validate the Greek formulas revealed the importance of defining units correctly. (minus ¼ star for that)The included free trial did not work but the book had sat on my shelf for five years. Notwithstanding there is an online offer.

The best book on Options
I’ve been stocking investing 35 years and trading options full time for a year. This is an outstanding book. I’ve read quite a bit on options. Most of the focus of the books, web sites and YouTube videos I’ve encountered focus on the mechanics of trading and strategies. This book provides the required strategic perspective on option trading with a focus on empirical data analysis and extrapolation to general principles. I found the statistics very enlightening and it significantly enhanced my understanding. I did a lot of stat in grad school focusing on analysis of variance and regression. I can see where this may be challenging for folks but provided the missing link for me.

TINY font hurts an otherwise DECENT quant-rich book
Ive read dozens of option books, so i have an extensive comparison base, there is some solid content here and a great brush on the heavy quantitative aspects, even some new items ive never heard of like zeta - biggest problem is the font size is INCREDIBLY small (!!) Im surprised no one has cited this - mike should republish a hard cover and make it readable. I have many wiley finance books and this is a first! No idea why they went this route especially in a math intense book. Lastly, this is NOT for novices. I like the intensity personally but why they put "for novices" on the front cover is very odd...

Provided Great Insight
Written clearly. Plenty of examples. Only problem I had with the book was the size of the print. A bit small

A must have for your derivatives library section !!
I enjoy reading about financial derivatives and this is by far one of the best books i have come across. It goes into detail on topics that are very rarely covered in other option books. The chapter on strategies for special situations is alone worth the price of the book. One way to judge quality of the content in this book is by looking at how much effort the authors have put into explaining complex topics in such a simple manner. this book should be considered an investment not a guide to get rich quick.

Two Stars
I expected it to be as good as Shelden but it disappointed me with its content.
