Q: What are tonsil stones

Tonsil stones are small, semi-soft gobules consisting of bacteria (usually anaerobic in nature, which produce the sulfur-like smell), mucus and sulfur compounds. These small gobbles stick to tonsils. They are highly offensive in odor, causing horrible breath. People with tonsils and post nasal drip, along with dry mouth are very prone to developing tonsil stones. Occasionally they are coughed up if they fall into the back of the throat. If one has a good source of light, you can often see these whitish-yellow tiny blobs attached to your tonsils. They can manually be removed if one has the proper utensils. Use of a mouthwash or rinse which rids the mouth of anaerobic bacterium is the easiest way to control them.

Inactive ingredients are: Gelatin (bovine), rice flour, vegetable magnesium, stearate, and silicon dioxide. If you have food allergies there is a disclaimer on the bottle that says that this product is manufactured and packaged in a facility which may also process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and crustacean shellfish.
