Very useful for using your own voice
Very helpful information regarding imagery. I use Belleruth Naparstek's Health Journey's CDs. Agree with back cover description of contents. It does synthesize all current data on guided imagery. Information will optimize the use of the CDs. In Chapter 2 Belleruth Naparstek describes each type of imagery.so you can get a general sense of each type. Subsequent chapters supply the scripts from many of her CDs. Very useful for using your own voice, making special personal adjustments.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and teach a guided relaxation to people with cancer and their caregivers on a weekly basis, and find this book to be an invaluable tool. The scripts are incredible in helping my patients and clients manage their stress. As the practitioner, I find that even as the "guide" I too benefit from these practices. Thankful to have this in my professional library!

Needed a second copy.
I just bought my second copy of this book for my second psychotherapy office. I do hypnosis, and the scripts in this book are as close as you can get to hypnosis without actually being hypnosis. The scripts are helpful, easy to read and use, and about the right length of time to use them (most are about ten minutes).

Valuable Information
This is a great book. Not only is the information helpful but on my Kindle I could use the text to speech and listen to the guided imageries. They have helped with relaxation and with sleep. I am thinking about buying the actual tapes she offers.

I love this book, I have always have at least three copies because I keep giving it away! The guided meditations are the best I've found, Naperstek has a gift for creating them in a way that relaxes without overpowering. I first got it for myself and now use the meditations with others. 100% recommended

Full of positive visualisations and an asset to therapy.

I bought this book as I run a relaxation and guided visualisation group for people with mental health issues.I wanted to use scripts for the guided imagery that we do after progressive muscle relaxation. Some of the scripts have been useful for this and the other scripts, though excellent are a little too specific for general use in my group. This book will be very helpful for anyone wishing to relax and use visualisation individually, but if used in a group the participants need to be high functioning and of a certain intellectual level to appreciate and use the scripts successfully. It can also help with meditation on an individual or group level.
