Perfect buckwheat, organic and delicious
Great price for this amount, same type of buckwheat that is sold at Whole Foods, but much cheaper. Would buy again.

We be Buckin’
I love these buckwheat groats. I finely grind them with my vitamix and mix them with organic almond meal for the ultimate fluffy gf texture in pancakes, muffins, breads - I’ll be trying out bagels next. Alone the buckwheat has a firm, gummy texture and is perfect for making tortillas, flat breads, etc. I also used to eat these groats raw in my skyr with goji berries, vanilla bean, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. I love them so much and it helps fight insulin resistance. I went through 10 pounds in 2 months - I just bought the 25 pounder at $0.27/ounce. Can’t wait to eat more buckwheat!

Gotta love them
I'm always looking for Healthy and Low Glycemic Index, these seem to be high quality and check those boxes. I prepare by fixing 2 cups Water, 1 Cup Groats, 1 Tablespoon chia seeds, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, a little olive or MCT oil and a small cube bullion, and Liquid Stevia Extract to taste, all in a rice cooker (Mix the dry ingredients before adding water). Turns out perfect every time, is good for at least two breakfasts (store in refrigerator, reheat in microwave).

Helped me lose weight
It’s really hard to lose weight when you’re Asian. A lot of our recipes contain a lot of added white sugar and of course carbs: white rice, rice noodles, rice flour. It’s in everything. As I got older my body had more difficulty digesting it. I had a bit of a gluten belly. After many experiments, I found that the buckwheat is a much lower carb than brown rice. I changed my diet, swapped out all the rice and pasta for this. I even switched to monk fruit stevia and tossed out my sugar and Splenda. With exercise, I dropped a good 10 lbs in about 2 months. It was hard to eat at first but with repetition it became an habit. It is easy to cook in a rice pot or on stove top. Just needs additional water.

Sprout well
I originally got these because they're cheaper than the name brand organic groats. I didn't like them quite as much initially because they're not as "clean" as the name brand and can have small bits of stuff in them, like a grain or two of some other kind, small bits of stem, etc. So I ate these til gone, then went back to the name brand. But I was having a lot of intestinal gas eating buckwheat. So I started sprouting the groats before cooking. And the gas went away! This is what I've learned from sprouting buckwheat --these bulk groats do contain broken bits that cannot sprout, but considering my intestinal issue went away after I started sprouting, its my opinion that whatever percentage of broken bits these contain isn't enough to be of concern- a greater percentage of these groats sprout as compared to the name brand, and they seem to sprout faster- because these are not "clean", they need good rinsing before soaking, til water is clear or almost clear at least (rinsing well seems to help prevent mold to some degree)- soaking too long seems to contribute to mold, 10-12 hrs being the max timeI'm ordering my 3rd bag as I eat buckwheat everyday. I recommend these. I also recommend sprouting before cooking to "activate" their nutrients so you get the most nutrition from them (look it up). Its well worth the effort! You don't need to grow the sprouts til they're long, just until they've got little "tails" on them.Enjoy!

I am groat.
Product came matching description given. Large bag, filled with groats, ten pounds in weight. Arrives in surprisingly small box - it's like a clown car. Each time I purchase, the shipping box that arrives appears smaller than the last while the product weight remains unchanged.Price compared to similar product available in stores, this price is very competitive. Price break per unit between available sizes isn't consistent or logical, but the 10 pound was ok. Unsure how to rate the flavor. I didn't eat it, my dog did. He ate it willingly each meal. 5 stars for flavor, but 3 stars for price - 4 stars. Good product, will buy again.
