This is a great product just what my dog needed to replace his electrolytes!

UPDATE: 3/4/22 took the dogs on the boat. They played on the beach for an hour. Got back in the boat they would not drink this water. Sniffed it and walked away. They were thirsty from the salt water. The golden refused completely. The black lab took a sip. Both drank a bowl of fresh regular water. I’m going to try adding it to their pure pumpkin.ORIGINAL: This is a fabulous idea, it’s like Gatorade for your pet. Our golden retriever loves to swim and play on the beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. When he fetches his toys, even in shallow water, he inadvertently swallows salt water which plays havoc on his gastro system. He is exhausted after a few hours of vigorous play.Unfortunately, this stuff has a funny odor and taste so I don’t know if he will drink it unless he is super thirsty. It also does not dissolve very easily but it is not gritty. It’s a moist powder. You use one tiny scoop per 2 cups of water. This is pricy at $35 for the small tub. I really can’t not tell you the full benefit until the water warms up and Maverick is swimming again. We live in FL and unfortunately we are having a cold spell the past 2 weeks. Water temps have plummeted! No swimming till probably April. I love the idea and will mix this with his mash potato flakes and pure pumpkin which we always feed him after a day on the boat. I do wish it had no taste or smell for picky canines. I know for humans you shouldn't drink Gatorade or electrolyte drinks unless you had a good work out. I am going to assume the same is true for our pets.

I own 7 dogs, 6 are extremely athletic. My husband and I love to hike and we take our dogs out hiking a couple of times per week most of the year. The hike is usually 5-10 miles but the dogs do much more than we do as they are off leash coming and going. We live in the desert, it’s sunny and dry year round so we bring plenty of water with us for the dogs. We have started adding K9 athlete hydrate and recover to the water so the dogs stay hydrated during our hikes. The dogs do drink this ( could be because they are sooo thirsty ). I also add this their dinner when we get home. I mix the one scoop with a pint of water and pour the mixture over the dog food.I think this is great to have and it makes me feel better knowing they won’t get dehydrated from over doing it.2 thumbs up.

I like the idea. My dog has crazy dry skin and I was hoping maybe some extra hydration would help with that. The problem is, my dog won't touch the stuff if it's sprinkled in her water. She walks right by it and steals the cat's water. I tried putting it into already poured water, it floats up to the top and just sits there like an oil slick no matter how much you stir it. So I tried putting it in an empty bowl and pouring the water in afterwards thinking maybe the sloshing of the water pouring into the bowl would mix it up better. Same results. Clumpy, oil slick.The only way I can get her to ingest the stuff is to mix it in with her food. I guess as long as she gets it in her system, be it food or water, she should get the benefits it claims. I haven't seen a difference. The stuff smells funky too. Almost like old beef bouillon. I wouldn't buy it again. Possibly if it wasn't a powder and came in a liquid form, then maybe.

My dogs seem to have a love hate with this product. I have been using it in their water daily, and they seem a little more hesitant to drink it compared to regular water. I definitely intend to continue using this product for a while longer to get a better feel for it. We also live in the south where it gets very hot and humid, so I also plan to use it during summer to see if the results vary any.

Our momma dogs really love this when they're pregnant or when they are right after giving birth. Sometimes it's hard to get them to drink water but this has a little bit of flavor and all sorts of good stuff in it for them like Gatorade for dogs. It helps them stay hydrated after all the birthing and it helps them recover quicker and it just makes us feel safer all around. We really like this product and couldn't recommend it enough

I have a Boston Terrier who is extremely active in the summer. Instead of adding more good, I add a scoop of this product to his water. I keep two Bowls of water for him. One with this product and another bowl with plain water.

Put it in my dogs water as directed and he is drinking it up just fine. No issues so far.
