what is the best sealant for this grout for outdoor use?

You can buy grout sealer, but I just use a Rustoleum spray paint in clear glossy.

Is this grout heat resistant? If so, to what temp?

Jennifer's grout is heat resistant but I cannot tell you to what exact temperature. I have made many kitchen hot pad pieces for setting hot from the oven pottery dishes and metal pans on. I have also made grouted coasters. I do seal such items with a sealer over the grout before using. The sealer keeps the grout cleaner.

Are there products that are bird safe? I’ve been using aquariam glue/sealant safe for fish. Any other ideas out there?

This would work well for a birdbath. I’d recommend sealing it with a 511 or Thompson’s spray on water sealant.

The description says for use in kitchen,but one ofthe answers says crafts only. Can it be used to repair kitchen counter grout in between small tiles?

I would only use a grout that has been manufactured for kitchen use. Jennifer's Mosaic Grout is my favorite craft grout (and I use it often), but, I would not use it for kitchen counter repair. FYI, you can always find valuable information in MSDS's (Material safety data sheets) about products that you are not sure of.
