XtremeAir Ultra Series UL13-U30, 30" width, Baffle filters, 3-Speed Mechanical Buttons, Full Seamless, 1.0 mm Non-magnetic S.S, Under cabinet hood

This is an amazing vent hood. I could have easily paid three times as much, and I am very happy with its top-level performance. It's quiet for the power, but that doesn't mean that it's *quiet* quiet. But beware. This sucker is HEAVY!!The photo shows that my kitchen is still in construction mode, but the new range and the vent hood make a lovely couple!Update, May 2017:My original estimation of this vent hood has not changed one iota. Not only does it give my kitchen a "professional" look and feel, but it does an excellent job of removing fumes and smoke, which I needed after using my stove regularly! (long story - "learning curve" would fit here). Once again, this is a deal that you cannot let pass by, and from what I've seen in some of the premium appliance stores, you will save at least $1000 by purchasing this instead of a named (Viking, for instance) brand. I've added a second photo that shows the completion of my kitchen.The only issue is that the lights have a bluish hue which may or may not bother you. It doesn't bother me a bit.

I bought this hood to replace my 30" microwave/exhaust hood after an extensive search.I shopped all over for hoods and was just not impressed with any of the hoods I saw unless I was looking into the 1500$ range. I cook everyday and wanted a true (non-magnetic!) stainless hood that had a proper grease trap/louver. I have had those ridiculous wire mesh screen traps before and they are worthless if you really cook. I also dislike digital controls as they always break eventually and you are stuck spending $$$ on a new board. This hood met ALL my criteria AND its made domestically? I was sold! In person? No disappointment here after years of use. The only thing I changed was the bulbs to match the Kelvin range of my current kitchen lights (10$), easy swap with any LED or standard halogen bulb.My advice: Buy it now before XtremeAir matches the price to the quality that they are producing!

This vent is powerful! I just had it installed and at the highest strength level 3 it's still not that loud as my last vent. My last vent wasn't even effective at its highest level and it was very loud AND it was around $2,000!! The company OJ Commerce also did very good in hustling my delivery and kept in consistent contact with me. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because I only just got it so I don't know how well it's going to hold up.Update September 2020: Several years now later and the performance is still good but boy is it loud!! I think it's louder now than ever before because when I have no choice and I have to use it, even from downstairs everyone can still hear it🤦‍♀️ Makes me wish I bought another one that didn't chase everyone into their locked rooms or to another floor!

Good quality. However, you have to cut out the top cabinets to have the 6 inch duct install and bend it out in order to run to the side of the house. Very hard to install.

I like the fan but the light button has broken after 4 yrs. It has fallen into the hole and is stuck there. Very frustrating.

I love this hood. It's MUCH quieter than the hood it is replacing and works much better too.After watching the Xtreme Air installation video, installation was simple. I was able to install this unit by myself (with the proper tools), but it would have been easier with a second person because the hood is quite heavy.I suggest checking the dimensions of this carefully before ordering. This unit is quite a bit bigger than my old hood but it looks and certainly looks and works better.I highly recommend this hood.

Love this range hood. It has a larger than normal exhaust through the roof, pulls lots of air and is heay stainless steel. The fan can be noisy but it's doing a great job and I can live with some noise.

Works great, air flow, lights, and noise level were as promised.
