MRSA - IV and oral Bactrim killed it, but wound and outer healing w/MANUKA 15% was exceptional
Most important piece of info I can give - I asked my doctor at the wound treatment center, "How tough will the skin be over this hole in my leg, when it finally heals?" She told me I could expect no more than 75% toughness and protection from the healed tissue. I really balked at this because I'm rough on myself. Tree climbing, tree work and skateboarding are a few examples. (I fall a lot skateboarding. I kinda suck...) So now, my deep and wide (several cm deep, maybe 4 cm across) hole in my calf has healed, and the skin is tough as hell. It's a little hard in places, which is gross, but it certainly is not 25% more sensitive to being pokes and prodded than the surrounding tissue. It feels the same. This, other than eradication of the infection, is all I could have hoped for. I packed the wound in the beginning with MeSALT, as Dr. R and her nurses recommended, but as the wound became more shallow, I abandoned packing sometimes and substituted filling, and dousing the surrounding aream with Manuka. Once the wound no longer had any appreciable depth, I used Manuka exclusively, and continued to clean and dress it w/Manuka once a day for at least a week after it seemed completely healed. I never combined Manuka honey with the MeSALT packing. It was either one, or the other.Notes:When I brought my Manuka honey in to the doctor who was overseeing my healing, she commented that the wound center in which she works does use Manuka, sometimes. She further commented that Manuka honey wound treatment was OK by her and she was happy to see how well it worked on me, and advised me to stay with it.

Awesome honey!!!
Started taking this in September and I have been giving our 6 year old a teaspoon twice a week. She's in first grade and usually brings home at least one cold from school by now. Almost December and no illness! Bought it on recommendation of a client who had been taking it for 3 years and has only had one or two colds. It might just be a mild year for illness so far or it may be working to boost our immunity. Who knows?? I'm going to keep buying it! Taste and texture are phenomenal.

Not sure.
The taste is nothing like the honey we get here in N Texas. I will say, if you apply it to a cut or wound, it does heal very quickly. As far as taking it everyday for healing on the inside, I'm not sure, because I dislike the flavor.

Love the Product, but BEWARE, Quantity Shipped has Changed.
Ordered same product in May, 3 Jars shipped. Clicked on my link in order history to order again in June, only 1 jar shipped. Not sure which one was the mistake, but I would have shopped around if I had realized I was only getting one jar. Have used various brands of Manuka Honey for years for its natural healing properties--love it! It really is amazing! My daughter takes a teaspoon full whenever she has a sore throat, and she always feels better. I have used for stomach issues: bacterial infections and it helps me to stabilize. Even my infectious disease doctor, who was treating me for a C-diff infection (picked up from an elderly parent in a nursing home) highly recommended the Manuka Honey to help stabilize my stomach. He also indicated that it works wonders on fighting infection for wound care. It's worth always keeping a jar in the cabinet!
