Nonetheless, I did not see any certification of quality assurance on the bottle, so that is worth at least one star off the maximum. As a side, one strategy for making this sort of product work for you is to go through one bottle and the recommended dose every year. That is, you take it for a month or two each year. It provides a control on the fatty deposits, but is not likely to have any side effects and will save you money (although, this is an inexpensive supplement).

It is always fresh in expiry date, good quality, and doesn't have unnecessary dyes and colors. I can tell it makes a difference when I run out and don't restock right away. This is one that I have been taking for a few years and I feel better when I keep it in my rotation. I space out my supplements daily so they have time to absorb and not interfere or compete with other supplements. It says to preferably take it with food but sometimes I'm really busy and have taken it without food and have felt fine. Usually I try to have a quick snack not too long after I take it if that's the case - almonds, steamed veggies, a few spoons of oatmeal. I never buy this is any other brand.
