Hard to assemble but stunning and lovely quality. I adore mine.
My husband wasn’t crazy about it when I told him I loved it and had bought it for the front hall because my house is all steampunked out and gorgeous. It took him two days to put together wearing a ferocious scowl and it requires expensive lightbulbs apparently only known by Amazon who I’m currently mad at about something else. We got the light bulbs and have turned it on so I can say that it’s GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFULLY MADE if difficult and time consuming to assemble. The ceiling is twenty feet height and it would be too small if there wasn’t other stuff going on there. I hate chain so we bought a fan rod to add a couple inches and hide the chain-from Home Depot because Amazon owes me an apology over a different product before they get any more money from me. I don’t know how easy installation will be since we had to get a new ladder first, but I suspect assembly is the worst part and my husband who didn’t like it in the picture now loves it and finds it gorgeous to the point that he sought out the new ladder with my toe still inside my shoe and no other prompting than his own. He’s stubborn-that says a lot. If you like it-buy it. Just know it’s a pain to put together and buy the crazy 12 inch Edison bulbs at the same time. You’ll need two boxes. Update: installation is a NIGHTMARE!!! My husband is super handy and it took a whole weekend before he decided to junk their install pieces and make his own. They don’t give you enough wire to reach inside the cap and connect them and also tighten the nut that holds the cap on. (almost like you have to put your hand through a solid object). Beautiful once we magicked it into place but horrible design and no support.

Spectacular
Massive, sturdy hunk of glorious steampunk industrial goodness; looks great with a mix of X shape LED filament and straight line LED filament Edison style bulbs (purchased separately). Takes some ingenuity to assemble tho

Not what is in 1st photo, this is cheap and wiring is dangerous
Amazons 1st photo for this item is NOT what this is. The sockets are not nice white porcelain. They are cheap plastic. The paint job is bad and barley covers the unit. It is not flat black, it is semi-gloss black. The main connecting wire is about 18 inches long and will need to be replaced unless your only hanging it from its shipping box.The actual wires going to the sockets are SO thin that I bet a 9v battery will get them hot so DO NOT PUT HIGH WATTAGE bulbs in this kit as it is shipped. Seriously, they are 24 or 26 gauge, not 16 gauge and not fit for anything running 120volts.Seems like a case of; A great prototype, probably made in America with real wires and real sockets that was then outsourced for mass production in China where it was replaced with the cheapest parts possible and no adherence to safety regulations. That said- I wanted what I saw in that 1st photo. You can get that if you disassemble, buy new good porcelain sockets, good wiring, and re-wire the whole thing. I also re-painted mine a nice flat black and eventually created what was in that 1st photo. It took an extra day or two and about an extra 80 bucks on real sockets and wires, not including the bulbs to get it to that state. So you could call this a good starter kit if you are a hobbyist. That's the only way I'd suggest this light.Also- the Styrofoam that this thing is packed in is that super static, cheap, horrible Styrofoam from hell and got all over everything just unpacking unit carefully. My dog still has little white grains of foam on him months later.

Functional, decorative, but odd install
It’s not set up to install into a ceiling box. Be prepared to come up with a solution to that. A bracket is provided to mount directly to the ceiling but it’s too heavy to do that

Great light
Great light. Very unique. The top plate is very small and does not cover the hole for the electrical connections. The bracket does not fit standard openning.Overall i like it. But there could be very simple updates to the directions to make the installation overall better. Hkwever, it is not at all difficult to figure out
