Q: Where can I get the latest software?

The datalogging software is available for download here: http://co2meters.com/co2mini/co2mini-install.zipIt uses the USB port to connect to your Windows (only) PC and allows you to log CO2 levels over time and view them in a graph or export to a spreadsheet.

Q: Will this work inside a walk in cooler (~40F) to detect CO2 leaks to the air in our beverage vessels??

I tested it in a closed pot floating meter above one inch of cool soda. soda warmed and co2 rose from 531 to 2670 and then a "high' indicator, in minutes.

Q: does it work with a mac?

The device itself works with any USB power source: wall charger or a PC no matter what platform is it.The bundled software is Windows-only however i.e. you won't be able to store measurements' history or observe the charts on platform other than Windows.

Q: "Does this just use a battery and charges via USB?"

No batteries, it's powered by a USB adaptor. You can plug it into a laptop and record the levels over a course of time.
