You have to know what fodmaps cause you issues to be able to decide which recipes to use
I'm very disappointed. So far every recipe I've looked at and to be fair I've not read the whole book because I got despondent, has onions and or bell peppers in neither of which I can eat and struggle to find recipes without them in.So it is not truly a FODMAP book

Great cookbook writer, but this is not a great book
I have other books by the same writer which have provided wonderful meals for years and also helped with intolerances but was very disappointed by this book bought in desperation after it genuinely felt like I couldn't eat anything. the pictures are unappealing and the recipes feel dated and not very flavoursome. Better stuff online from Wild Gut Project etc Sorry, but this felt like a waste of money

The only vegan guide to a low-FODMAP diet
Other low-FODMAP recipe books I have bought contain the occasional vegetarian, and possibly vegan, recipe, or dishes that can be adapted, but this seems to be the only wholly vegan book, which makes it essential if you're veggie and suffering from IBS. The recipes are pretty good, nicely photographed and easy to follow. Highly recommended.

Almost a great book!
First the good:+ Some good introductory info on FODMAPS+ Nice use of tables to help understanding of different foods to avoid / low-FODMAP substitutes. Now, the bad:+ Some information is inaccurate. For example, it recommends readers to use textured vegetable protein as a low-FODMAP substitute for meat (see page 35). This is not true, TVP is FODMAP rich and will cause someone with sensitivity issues.+ There is basically no pictures of actually dishes in this book - making it hard for readers to visualise what they should be eating.I hope the author does a 2nd edition of this that is better researched and better presented!

Highly recommended
Highly recommended. Bought this for my vegan daughter whose health had deteriorated with IBS. She is has made massive improvement in health already in 2 weeks of following the low fodmap diet.
