Not what I hoped for, really
I wasn't sure how to rate this. Some of this book is quite good, but some of it is just sentimentality in the guise of a Bible study. I don't like that. I'm not sure I want to focus on feelings all the time but rather on the facts in God's word. Also, as with most books on Autism, it doesn't necessarily address parents whose kids are not severely Autistic. It's hard to relate in some cases. My son is "moderately" Autistic, and I don't have the vast swing of emotions about his challenges. I didn't feel like what was described in this book: I wasn't devastated or in shock or depressed. I felt something along the lines of "okay, so where do we go from here to make it through this?" I am sure a lot of parents who have Autistic children have a very emotional experience, but for parents like me who aren't uber emotional, this book is less meaningful because it feeds on emotions rather than objectivity in God's word. I don't get much out of questions like, "recall a time when you felt far away from God". I would rather be directed to something like Joshua, read a passage and be given objective Biblical counsel rather than being asked to bathe in my emotions. It's not to say emotions aren't good or that there's any one way of coping, but this is what I think about the book in general, and I am speaking for myself since I am the only person for whom I can speak. For those of you who are very emotionally driven, I hope this book helps. For those of you like me, you might be better off looking up verses on discouragement, fear, anxiety and so on that you can use objectively and in a way that is helpful.

Uplifting and a must read
Sandra Peoples does a great job not only telling her son's story and the emotions that go along with first hearing a diagnosis, but how life looked after. Although Sandra is a pastor's wife she allowed her humanity to show when she questioned and was answered by God ❤️ She admits it isn't always easy, but our Plan B is God's Plan A❤️

Hope and Peace and lots of tears!
This book was a much needed place to begin healing after all the trauma and emotional damage I experienced in the now 10 years of my micro preemies life. We were told on the day before he was born he would never survive 48 hours. BUT GOD!! I cannot thank my friend that helped encourage me and walk beside me through this book and now life in general as we now have hope and a goal! Thank you for publishing this wonderful book.

A good book of devotionals
I haven't read the entire book but I loved the first chapter. I think these devotionals will be helpful and I appreciated that the authors were so open about expressing their feelings and what they went through.

Awesome and Inspiring
This is a great book for this who are spiritually struggling with raising a child with special needs. It gives great illustrations from God's Word and inspiring bible verses to demonstrate their points. The questions are thought provoking and could be used for individual or group bible study. Highly recommend!
