Inov8 Roclite Pro G 400 GORE-TEX Walking Boots A lightweight, flexible hiking boot for serious outdoor adventures. Featuring a Graphene-Grip rubber outsole and a Schoeller ceramic-coated fabric upper, the ROCLITE PRO G 400 GTX delivers unprecedented strength and durability over any terrain in all weather conditions. Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box. The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell. Inov8 have graded the Roclite 400 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes as Grade 4. GORE-TEX Upper Designed to provide durable protection and increased comfort, the Inov8 Roclite Pro G 400 GORE-TEX Walking Boots have been constructed using a Schoeller ceramic-coated fabric. The fabrication provide increased durability by protecting your feet from the trials and tribulations of tough terrain. Schoeller reduces the risks of abrasion and tearing to ensure complete confidence as you tackle uneven ground; it also works to provide ample temperature resistance whilst ensuring a high level of comfort. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathabilit

Hard wearing waterproof
I was sceptical about hard wearing soles but have been proved wrong I do a lot of walking off and on the road these soles have virtually shown no signs of wear like other do in a short period defo but these again

Good boots with limitations
I have a pair of Altberg Tethera boots that are comfortable, grippy and supportive. I bought the Innov8 boots following an Achilles injury as I wanted lightweight boots to limit the strain on my ankle: The Innov8 boots did this well. The limitations are that the Innov8 boots do not support ankles as well as leather boots or provide protection expected of a hard wearing hiking boot. Bearing in mind the limitations the boots are comfortable, waterproof and provide the best grip in wet that I have ever experienced. The Innov8 boots are not perfect but did the job I wanted them to do. Most of my hiking is Lake district and North York Moors.

These boots fall apart quickly
Where to begin? They say looks (and price - these cost £200, making them the most expensive hiking boot in the shop) can deceive and deceive these boots did! I wish I could give a better review but I can’t. Anyway, let’s start with the positives:1. They were very comfortable and didn’t cause blisters, even throughout a 40 day hike in the Himalayas2. They dried quickly, esp. for a Gortex boot (but see below for issues around getting wet)3. They look good (before they fall apart, which began after the first wear!)The negatives:1. They began to fall apart after the first wear and after about a week of trekking the lining around the ankle (including where the top bracket for the laces was located) started coming away from the boot2. By 3 weeks of wear the top lace bracket didn’t function any more which made the following weeks of walking a little dangerous with limited ankle support3. The material on the front of the boot just above the big and little toes started to rip within 3 wears. By 10 wears the Gortex didn’t work anymore as it had ripped through and the boots often became sodden wet - whenever walking on long wet grass, snow etc.4. The sole at the heel started coming away after a few weeks of wear. Whilst this didn’t cause any issues whilst hiking it is indicative of the whole boot starting to fall apart5. The grip was OK but not great, especially on loose gravelMaybe mine was part of a bad batch but these really didn’t live up to expectations. Definitely don’t buy for any real hiking in mountains etc. Maybe they are OK for walking dogs in fields etc. but I doubt you need to spend £200 on shoes for that!

As reported by many reviews
Fantastically comfortable and light but really deceptive. Initially you think these are awesome and well worth £200. The grip is only ok but otherwise these feel amazing. The problems start a few weeks in when the waterproofing fails completely. This is a well known issue in the trade… you simply can’t maintain a very thin gore lining in a very flexible boot. So after a few weeks you have very comfortable boots that are not waterproof. If you use them a few times a week then they will fall apart after about 12 months. I wish inov 8 would sort this out. They make great footwear that’s not waterproof and doesn’t claim to be but these just can’t compete with an old fashioned pair of leather boots. And the environmental impact of replacing boots every 12 months is horrifying

Extremely comfortable but not durable - disappointed
I bought these expensive boots to wear not every day, but on the pretty rare time I go out for walks in the woods etc. I've owned these for just over a year and have probably only had a month or 2 total use from them. Quite a while ago I noticed the sole of the boots is peeling off from the base layer, I've also noticed that on the back of the inside of the boots where my heel touches, there is a hole in both boots where the thin lining of fabric is. Another problem is on both boots, the upper "shoeller ceramic coated fabric" is wearing away / thinning where my big toes are from the flex of mere walking in them. I don't think it will last too long before holes appear in both sides where it is so thin.I'm extremely disappointed in these, as £200 is a lot of money for me for a pair of boots so I purchased them with the plan of taking good care of them only wearing them once in a while for when I would benefit from them.I recommend these for how comfortable they are, they are by far the most comfortable and lightweight pair of footwear I've ever worn, but I feel they are let down massively by their seemingly false claim of being extremely durable. I will be ordering a pair of full grain leather boots in future.

Exzellenter Schuh

Great Boot
I purchased the Roclite Pro boots for work. I have tried many different brands in the past. These were the most lightweight and comfortable boots I have ever owned. The soles provide great traction. I will not hesitate to buy another pair when the time comes. They are waterproof and keep your feet warm. Well worth the money!!

Great light weight boot, but only lasted one year
First these are very light weight. The waterproofing worked very well for Spring, summer and Fall 2021. I wore these all the time, and not just while hiking. This spring, almost one year to the date of buying them, the waterproofing massively failed while I was out on a trail that had mud and water. Last year I would heave been fine (I stood in shallow parts of Lake Michigan with these, for example). But by the end of the 4 mile hike, my feet were utterly soaked. So they were great shoes for hiking. But they only lasted one year (and the warranty on them is for only 1 year). I am going to continue to wear them as mostly every day shoes. I reproofed them with grangers and that should help with rain and such. Probably going with a different boot for trails since these may not be the best for Rocky Mountains and such, which I plan to hike this year. But I think these should have lasted a lot longer given the price.
