I purchased these wooden steps so I can attach a railing to the side of them for assistance getting in and out of the tub. Although in the end, they will serve my purpose well, I was taken by complete surprise to find that they were unassembled. No mention of this is mentioned in the description. And although the instructions were clear, and the process fairly straight-forward, it was not a simple one: It involved more than 40 screws, but was still unstable after assembly I ended up buying two metal straps per side and installed them vertically across the"seam" between the upper and lower risers to ensure safety while using the stairs. Although some of the holes were predrilled, others were not and should have been. Had I not had a cordless drill and extra screws (there were not enough provided), it would have take far longer than the four hours I spent on these.I purchased wooden stairs so I can attach a side rail

The stairs are made from nice looking cedar, finished and assembled quickly. Very happy with the quality and appearance.

Came in 100 pieces with 100 screws. Basically raw lumber. Edges not sanded so will easily splinter.

Bought these steps to accent my soon-to-be hillbilly stock tank pool in my yard These are tremendously sturdy and look great. Easy to put together, too. Well worth the money.
