FACE N FACE Women's High Waisted A Line Pleated Full Midi Skirt with Pockets

I hemmed and hawed reading the reviews, but decided for the price that I would try it. I wear a medium, probably not as small as a full 8, not truly a size 10, either. I decided to buy the medium and it fits, but only just, although I think going up a size would have been too much. The pleats are full, so it definitely bells out from the waist, and it does have two slit pockets in the sides. I would not wear this for a casual day skirt, it's a bit too much for that for me, but was thinking of a winter party skirt. The material is clearly man-made - it has the look and weight of a shiny black denim, if you can imagine that. I think people would look at the fabric and while you could probably tell at a glance it isn't satin or silk; but I also think most people wouldn't even give it another thought. And why would they? women wear taffeta during the holidays, and that's clearly not a casual fabric either! I think this will be cute with a close fitted sweater, or a white blouse tucked in, and a pair of black pumps. One odd thing; the zipper is on the right side of the skirt, not the left or the back, unlike most of the skirts I own. I'm certain it's on the right, as the slit pockets would only work in that direction.

The skirt arrived very quickly and is just as described/shown. The material has a slight sheen to it. The fabric is heavy and the skirt is well constructed with strong stitching. The skirt (on me) is midi length, with a natural blousey-flare. Even though the fabric is thick(er), there is a thin white lining, which helps protect against any possibility of see-through. I find the look the look of this skirt to be VERY flattering; I adore it. The only potential draw-back for me was sizing. I typically run somewhere between 0-4 (thanks to the general inconsistency of U.S. sizes. I should NEVER actually be a zero). I purchased the skirt in a small figuring I could take it in if necessary, and that is precisely what I will need to do. The skirt is a bit larger than I anticipated, but it's a quick and inexpensive fix. Given the style of the skirt, 'taking it in' would mean little more than taking in the waist. Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase and would buy more if other colors were available.

Thought the material would be thin and the skirt thin as a result but to my surprise it's heavy with a liner, it does have only one fairly deep pocket on the left slight off from the front, and drapes full like the description. I thought I'd need an underskirt but it's not needed. Love this skirt so much I may purchase it in another color!

The material is dull and not shiny like the picture. Ordered an x large based on reviews but it is big. Will be getting it taken in. I am normally a size 10 so could have went with a large. Still a cute skirt though!

I liked this skirt; however, I am sorry to say I had to return it because I prefer my skirts to be longer. Otherwise, it would have been perfect.

Loved this skirt. Got so many compliments on it. Even after washing it retained its original feel.

Zipper arrived non functional ... Cannot use this item unless i have it replaced ... Also bought because I liked th asymmetrical look of the first pic. ... It is not assymmetrical ... It is straight
