I buy the dogs a new collar every Christmas. These fit the bill, are good value for money and they are sturdy enough. The only reason I replace them every year is because they get stinky and it's impossible to wash the smell out. I prefer these clip ones to the collars with buckles which can come undone when the dogs are romping. Easy to adjust the size.

I thought this was going to be great. And it was for a couple months. I bought this for my Black Lab. He’s not huge, he’s a regular sized male. He broke both clips off the other night. A couple of deer caught his attention, and, he took off after the deer, and kept going. I’ll find a collar that will work. Might have to go back to a leather collar. At least that one lasted a few years.

It's a decent collar overall. It's 1" width with reflective threading and a thick D shaped ring. The name tag and city license was hard to get on because the ring was so thick, but I don't think it's coming off anytime soon. The collar does seem to loosen on its own though. It does the job if you're using a harness.
