Long term relationships are few and far between.
Long term relationships are few and far between, especially in this day and age. Long distance relationships are even fewer and farther between. What is it that prevents us from reaching forever? AJ Adaire creates her characters one at a time. You're allowed to create you image of the character without the distractions of switching back and forth. AJ seems to know when you are comfortable with one lead character, and moves on to another. Some writers using this technique make you feel you are the ping pong ball in a Chinese ping pong duel. AJ Adaire does it while you are sipping Mai Tais on a beach... very smoothly. Each character is developed; their weak points sometimes outweigh their strengths. What they learn about themselves and who they love can only create a bond "... one day longer than forever...".

For Real!!!
One Day Longer Than Forever, is a book dealing with relationships. AJ Adaire takes the reader on a journey into the lives...and lovers of Kate and Lee. The book is done in sections...and it allows the reader to share in the start of 3 relationships, and the heartache of the inevitable break up of 2 of them. We are giving 3 perspectives on love...and how we go into relationships with hope and passion...only sometimes life, with all the past baggage, and present hang ups... get in the way. This could not have been an easy book to write... Adaire has to give us 3 first kisses, 3 first time making love, and yet allow us to feel the rightness when Lee and Kate got together. Good supporting cast , great story. Highly recommended!

Sweet Story...Enjoyable Journey!
Let me start out by saying that One Day Longer Than Forever is not part of Friend series that I love. However, I enjoyed this book and its characters just the same. Every couple has a journey... whether that journey is long, short, easy, or bumpy; that journey can influence our future relationship decisions . Adaire is taking us on the journey of Kate and Lee. Their past loves have had a deep impact on their current journey together. Lee has had no luck with long distant relationships. Kate wants someone that is willing to put her above everything else. Will they be able to overcome the odds stacked against their young relationship or will the past repeat itself? I think all of the characters were well written; the story had a nice, easy flow. I would highly recommend taking the journey with Kate and Lee as they search for a love that will last One Day Longer Than Forever!

Typically engaging, but a little confusing
I have read most of this author's books, and find them to BE very engaging, hard to put down. Wonderful love stories, good sex, interesting characters and plots. My only difficulty with this book was remembering the stories and characters as the book started with one.......then made a total shift to another and another.......finally pulling them all together for the last section of the book. It made for a great conclusion, but over the course of the book, a bit of a challenge to keep in mind the characters introduced earlier. This said, I will definitely read the rest of A J Adaire's books as I think overall they're a great read!

The value of time vs. money. Do I waste my money by not finishing the book or do I save my time by not finishing the book...?
I stopped when I was halfway through this one. I kept hoping...The maturity of the writer is stagnant. This assumption of mine is based on the fact that this book is her fifth publication. I think assuming the writing maturity did not reverse itself on the author, she probably followed the same writing pattern as her previous works. She breaks what most consider the number one rule to writing good fiction: She tells the story, she does not show it. When I say she tells it, I mean action... by... action. Midway through the book after having read the following, "Kate stopped at the gas station to fill up the gas tank and ask directions. They did as instructed and found the realtor's office without incident. They had to park on the street in front of the office because the lot was still snow covered and there appeared to be no life inside the building." I couldn't go on. Grammatically speaking: that last sentence reads like they parked in the street because 'there appeared to be no life inside the building'. Anyway, who cares that you had to park in the street because the lot was snow covered? I say, "oh good, parked right in front of the door. How convenient is that?" I finally figured out what was missing. The descriptive adjectives in this book is minimal. This is just too mechanical for me and raises no visual stimulation in my imagination. I most likely will not try any of her other books. I need to get emotionally involved. In this case, I felt like I was reading a term paper regarding failed relationships rather than a fictional romance novel of two women overcoming the disappointment of past relationships.Sorry, one of my harsher reviews but I was disappointed.

ANOTHER ENTERTAINING READ
AJ hit a home run again in this novel. I enjoyed how the story was broken down into parts. Kate and Max with Max being a pain in the, well I better not go there. Then Lee and Kendra with Kendra giving me a headache, at least the headache is at the top and not the bottom. Then Kate and Lee, everyone's favourites, but to find out why you're going to have to read the novel. Sorry I did leave out Cody, another reason to read and enjoy.

She hit a again
This book has cost me my night of sleep because I wanted to know what else happened with Kate and Lee and I'm glad I have been able to read this without interruption. I was so charmed by Kate. Especially the story of the cabin brought a smile to my face. The combat of Kate and Lee with their long distance love was so real written that I even could feel their fatique. The solution to their problems was unexpected but I was very happy with the development of all the characters. This is definitely one I would read again immediately.

Very Entertaining
I've read all of AJ's books. The format of this one was a little different. I wasn't sure I liked it at first, but I stuck with it and enjoyed it very much. Knowing the backstory it became very clear why the main characters made the choices and as time went on you could feel their struggle and their heartache. It was at times poignant and funny. Some of the dialogue between the main characters were very amusing. I found myself rooting for them to grab onto happiness. A good read that won't disappoint.

A 5 Star plus
If there were more than 5 stars, this book would deserve it. This is a departure from the Friends series that AJ Adaire has written and a very pleasant surprise. Having loved her previous books, I was a little apprehensive about this departure. However what a wonderful surprise. I loved the way we are introduced to the main characters, telling their individual stories before they actually meet. And then, once realising their very strong feelings for one another the struggle they go through just to spend time together. The title, and what a great one it is, says it all.

A Lifetime in a Book
This is the first time I have read one of AJ's books and I thoroughly enjoyed it.I love the way that we were given a back history on the main character's lives and relationships. How this would help or hinder them in future relationships. As you would have in real life. Would they be able to learn to trust or love again, and learn to move on to live their dreams.

Not for me.
For me the style of writing was a little immature, as were the characters. It wiled away some time waiting in hospital but I wouldn't rush and buy more from this author. This is a personal opinion and others well may love it - good on them if they do.

A real good read.
It is the first AJ Adaire book I have read. It was a really good story and I loved the characters. It was a book you want to read through without a break. You won't be disappointed with this one! Ange

Lovely story
This was a lovely story, it seemed that the characters were meant to be together but there was so much that seemed to be keeping them apart. This story shows that love can conquer all.
