Expensive
Seems Ok but small container and pricey. Probably fairly priced given the source of ingredients and how it is made. Went back to German made comfrey cream for sports injury.

Smells rancid
To be honest I'm not sure if its helping or not. I've been putting it on my lower back, and it might be providing some pain relief, but it stinks. I have to wash my hands several times to get rhe smell off. It smells rancid. I thought given the ingredients it would haveno smell or maybe a mild pleasant scent, unfortunately it stinks like something spoiled.

Great for injuries
Doing all kinds of yard work, I come across some sprains and bruising from time to time. This ointment works great. Have used it several times for sprained wrist and ankle. It suppresses inflammation and I noticed better and more relieved movement of the joint just over night. It’s oily when you first apply it but absorbs quickly into the skin almost no oily residue afterwards. I chose to use this ointment either in combination with IB or alone. But mostly I prefer to use it without any additional anti-inflammatory medication, since those could be heavy on your liver over time. I cannot comment on any skin issues since I don’t use it for that purpose, but for sprains, bruising or similar type of injuries I believe this ointment is the way to go. Actually, I’ve been using comfrey plant since I was a kid because it was abundant where I lived. I chose this particular ointment because its just comfrey infused with oils. That means it contains only or mostly comfrey. The other products have a bunch of other herbs mixed in it, meaning the comfrey content is most-likely low in those. I am writing this review because I am slowly running out of this product and I just reordered it again. The 2oz jar is small, but don’t be fooled…it last a long time and retains it consistency. Thus review is based on my personal experience of this product over period of several years. I am glad they are still producing it. Remember, you get what you pay for….this one is worth the price.
