Awesome. A fabulous mower. 1800w of power made short work of 5 to 6 inches of wet grass covered in leaves. Yeah ! Mower 1 : Nature 0. My last mower would have struggles to get 10 feet through this. This B&D 1800w machine with 42cm blade didn't even pause for breath. From the box to the garden in about 15 minutes. All very straight forward to put together - though the grass catcher was slightly fiddly, I wasn't a problem. The large grass catcher worked a treat. Loads of height settings and very east to use. I highly recommend this mower.

Delivery was great, only 2 days from order. am waiting for The instructions for assembly in start of manual were poor, just pictures showing the parts in order of assembly, I later found these in writing on page 12, 13. Grass box is in 5 parts, handle, top, left-side, right-side and bottom and it is very hard to line up tabs and push the parts together. It took me an hour &15 minutes. The holes in the bottom handle were too small and did no seem as though they were tapped so I could not get the screws in to secure it to the base. I contacted the supplier about this and received a reply that they could not help and gave a contact number for the manufacturer, I used a pump action screwdriver and they went in easily. The height adjustment is good just one lever for all 4 wheels and indicator to show what height is being used, I notice some reviewers complaints that it does not cut short enough, I found this to be the opposite, on the lowest setting I cannot push it as it drags on the ground medium setting is about right and still a bit short. The blade looks a bit lightweight and flimsy with only a small area at either end for cutting edge and I am concerned as to how long this will last. My previous mower was a Champion 46cm petrol mower which I wanted to replace because of problems with using stale petrol and this new Black & Decker mower is just as hard to push as the petrol mower and is more difficult to maneuver. I was concerned that I might cut the cable but this does not really cause a problem if the instructions for using the mower and laying the cable are followed and I did not have to move it out of the way even with using an extension cable. I have now used the mower twice and though the cut is good and it has a roller it does not leave stripes and the box needs emptying more often than my old mower. I would recommend disconnecting from power and cleaning underneath with damp cloth after every use otherwise the grass build up dries hard is more difficult to remove. Only time will tell as to how long this machine lasts I am hoping it is stronger than it looks.

Generally good ,; cable length very good ; Double switching L or R very useful. Storing of long cable needs revising . Had to modify cutting blade to obtain better cut and increase suction.
